If you are applying for a scholarship, then you also have to upload your father's, mother's and spouse's (if married) salary slips as well.

thanks Mr Menon for the info. i am applying for R2. the latest month(Nov) payslip wont be available by the time i apply. so can i apply with Oct's payslip. Also, the number of fields for uploading documents in the current experience is confusing me.
I was an international applicant this year and came to know on Saturday that i have not been shortlisted for the interviews.
Fair enough.
I also appreciate your thoughtful gesture of providing feedback on individual applicants and I have already submitted my request for the same.
However, what i fail to understand is the provision of feedback by May of the subsequent year. With R1 deadlines in September, how does ISB expect applicants to work on their applications/ profiles on the basis of the feedback provided in such a short period of time.
If applicants have already been rejected after intense scrutiny of apps and recos, it stands to reason that feedback on apps has already been recorded. Wouldn't it possible to provide the feedback earlier (say by Jan end, when R2 interviews are over) to give re-applicants time enough to do some meaningful focussed work on their profiles.
I will be applying again next year, and am raring to work on my profile in the interim.
I am one of many International candidates who have not received any mail i.e neither ye nor ney. We all must be patient. Having said that, what is it that we look for to realize that our application is rejected. That is, is it a rejection mail from Adcom or a deadline? In case, its later, could you please advise of one. Thanks
Reach2sonu,
A rejection mail will be sent out to all the candidates who have not been short listed. If you have not received any intimation till now, then you can expect a mail today itself.

Vik,
1) It completely depends on the applicant pool. 2) Yes, you can put them under Extra Curricular activities. 3) We have around 10 non-indian passport holders in the current batch. 4) Yes, the ADCOM is very well aware of this.

Plebeian,
We understand your anxiety to know the reasons behind a reject mail. However, please try and understand that there will be 1500+ feedbacks to given which is not possible when the admission cycle is still going on in it's full swing. Like every organisation, we have a limited work force.
Keeping in mind your profile, only short term improvements are required. These can either be in GMAT/Essays/Interview performance or Career aspirations - all of which can be improved between the duration May - September.
All the best for next year and hoping to see you in the 2011 batch.
Thanks a lot! Even i am not insisting on an immediate feedback as I understand the workloads at the moment.
btw... is the underlined word in your response indicative of something?

Hi Sir, Yesterday, I checked my application status at ISB website and it shows that I have been shortlisted for interview on 9th Nov at Hyd.
Message suggests to confirm the interview offer by clicking on the link provided in the e-mail, sent to registered mail id; But I have not received any such e-mail, neither on primary nor on secondary email id.
Yesterday, I had dropped a mail, regarding this issue, to ISB but have not received any reply, so far.
I am afraid that I might miss last date to upload the documents due to this delay.
Please suggest how shall I proceed and whom should I contact regarding this technical issue.
Could you please tell me the criteria for applying for a need-based scholarship? Is there a ceiling on the gross annual pay (inclusive of parents' income)?
I am an international applicant and I received an interview invite on Saturday (Nov1) for the interview on Nov 8. It was mentioned in the mail that I should email scanned copies of transcripts by 29th Oct 10 AM. I immediately emailed the required documents but as is apparent, the interview invite email came after the given deadline. Please let me know if anything else has to be done on my end.

Applicant,
If you have mailed the required documents, then there is nothing you need to do.

Mbaash,
We did send the mail (we have a copy of it in our system). However, there could be a problem with rediff or your server. Also, we are resending the mail to you in a few minutes.

Thanks admissions team, I have got the confirmation mail

Mask, The only criterion is financial need. There is no ceiling on the gross annual pay as it depends upon the applicant pool. However, in the past, there have been instances that the total income of the candidates family (getting a need-based scholarship) has not been above Rs. 5 lac. Admissions Team
While filling the Application form I faced the following problems: 1) In the textbox where we are supposed to enter our per annum salary. But the field does not accept decimal. So how should one enter a figure like 3.3 2) In the box where we are supposed to enter our graduation percentage it is mentioned that we have to consider marks of all semesters unless it is specifically mentioned in my transcript that my university excludes so and so semesters while calculating the grade. My university grants the total marks based on the final 4 semesters. I have clarified with the university. They said that they will send all my marksheets in the transcript and my final total marks will comprise of the final 4 semesters but it won't be mentioned explicitly anywhere about the exclusion of the prior semesters. Please suggest what do i do. Should I calculate my total based on all semester or just last 4 semester.

Thanks Coolmayank for answering on our behalf. You are correct in saying that the salary figure cannot be mentioned as 3.3, it has to be 330000. Percentage of marks: If your university does not mention it explicitly please take all the years/semesters into consideration while calculating the %. Admissions Team
Hello Admission Team, Im a female applicant applying in round 2.To apply for scholarship i understand i need to upload the payslips of my husband and myself. Should i apply for my parents too. They are dependants on me and they have a minimal income. If yes, they do agriculture in my native. as u know people with agricultural income alone do not file tax returns. ( i think thats the case for 95% farmers) so what kind of proof is accepted for my parents. incometax certificate from thasildar is obtained for other purposes. is that sufficient for ISB?

Thamizhosai,
There is no need for uploading proof of income for parents, if you are married. Just spouses proof of income will suffice.
