Hi,
I have applied in R2 a few days back. I have one query.
After ISB, if I am admitted, I wish after some years to enter into academics (i.e. research and teaching) would the ISB PGP course be recognised.
Your advice on this will be warmly appreciated.

Hello Adcom.
Can you please share some information regarding, out of approx 560 seats for the class of 2010, how many offers are made in R1 and how many have been put on waiting list.
And, from the past year data for class of 2009, approximately how many people from the wait list get accepted.
I will really appreciate if you can answer this. And ofcourse, I am not looking for a exact figures here, an estimate will be good enough.
Thanks a lot.
with regards
Kumar

Dear Adcom,
Thanks for the admission offer extended to me and thanks for all the wonderful help you have been providing here. We have all benefitted hugely from the same.
I have one quick question. Could you please tell whether merit based scholarships have also been announced already alongwith the offers or whether they would be given upon joining?
Thanks
Good evening Mr. Menon and Adcom,
The ISB admission offer email states that the amount to be deposited is INR 2 lakhs or US$5000 to confirm a place in the batch of 2010.
Since ISB realises the fees in INR (per the website) and given the latest exchange rates bringing the INR 2 lakhs equivalent to approximately US$4000, would the office consider updating the USD amount to be submitted to confirm admission?
The international applicant community will appreciate your clarification on this topic.
Kind regards,
AG
"Congratulations to all the Puys who have received an admit from ISB. Those who have not been short listed, cheer up Puys, life does not end here.
We will be closing this thread today. No queries will be replied to after this post. The ADCOM would like to thank all the Puys and the Pagalguy team for their continuous support. There were some intelligent questions and some the not-so-intelligent ones. However, we enjoyed every bit of it and were glad to see such enthusiasm and solidarity among the Puys.
We hope that all your queries were duly answered. In case of any further queries, you can always call us at 040 23187474 or write to us at [email protected]
We will be happy to help you.
All the Best for your life ahead!
ADCOM"
Dear Sir,
One of my recommenders is not able to receive the email invite(even after resending). Though, another recommender in the same domain has received it. I am trying to sort this matter with email system-admin. But wanted to ask you if their is an alternative way to submit the recommendation(I have already edited his details as online recommendation). Can the email invite be forwarded to some other id(Contact details of the person remaining same).
Thanks a lot for your help,
Deepanshu
Dear sir,
* I have completed my Engineering.
* I will be joining a leading IT consultancy firm soon.
* I intend to work for about 3.5 years and plan to apply for ISB for 2012-13 Academic year.
* My question are -
1. On what basis is a work experience evaluated?
2. How do you define the 'Quality of work experience' & 'Leadership Potential'?
3. What are your suggestions for candidates to enrich their work experiences before applying to ISB?
Thanks in advance!
Deepanshu12 and Ketan_b,
Please be kind enough to read the previous post my me, which was on behalf of ISB adcom.

Dear Adcom ,
I had applied for ISB Class of 2009-10 in round - 1 but could not make it after the interview. While I understand that ISB will be in a position to offer feedback on my application only in the month of May-09 due to the ongoing admission process, I would appriciate if some opinion on which are the areas that i need to improve on can be dispersed. The reason I ask this is because the time after May-09 to Sep-09 (~4 months) may not be sufficient to improve the weak areas significantly. My decision to re-apply next year or later will depend a lot on the feedback.
Request you to provide brief feedback earlier than May-09, and the detailed one could follow later.
Best Regards,
I second that.
A brief feedback earlier would helps us improve.

Dear Adcom,
I am an applicant in the Round II, I have been trying to submit my application by paying the application fees but I am not able to do so because of the website error. I have got the payment trasaction details from the bank but I have not received an application reference number from ISB. My application submission status also shows Incomplete. Kindly help!! I have mailed pgpadmission with the details of the transactions. I am a bit anxious in this situation because if I can't get through the fees payment stage I will not be able to submit my application this year. Kindly help!
Thanks
Abhishek

Which browser are you using. People were facing similar issues with Google Chrome. I suggest you use Internet Explorer. If that also doesnt work out drop in a mail to Adcom with the transaction details. Also give them a call explaining the issue. I am sure they'll help you out.

Hi
A special group has been created for Admits of ISB class of 2009-10.
This group will mobalise issues of admissions, loans, scholarships etc..
Moreover this would be an excellent forum for people from NCR to network and meetup with people who would be sharing classrooms with them after next few months.
All R1 admits(especially from NCR) please sign up to:

Already we have a yahoo group. Avoid multiple groups as we might miss out on some good info posted in one of the forums ...........
Hi...
Though I have not received many awards, i have been involved in lots of extra curricular activity. My academics are more than average
10th 84%
12th 70%
B.Tech 8.09/10
I have five years of work experience GMAT Score of 700 and AWA score of 5.00. I have applied for the second cycle.
How do you rate my chances of getting an interview call or do i need to appear for GMAT again with better scores???
Another year of phenomenal interaction on ISB admissions. 131 pages - phew!
Thanks a ton all of you guys and a special thanks to Dr VK Menon.
We'll be back again for next year's ISB admissions season!
Cheers,
