My query is regarding the program structure and contents and how is it geared towards handling the requirements of students with diverse work experiences. Prior work experience of ISB students range from 2 years to 8 years. While a student with an experience of 2 years would be preparing for a entry level role in management and a person with 8 years under his/her belt would be preparing for a middle level management role. I want to understand how ISB takes care of these different types of profiles, both in terms of course content and placement. Is there some kind of customization in curriculum or a common cirriculum is provided for all.
Thanks Suheb
Suheb,
The interactive learning comes from the experiences the students have had in the varied industries, functions, locations and situations that they have been exposed to before coming to ISB. While the length of work experience does add a lot of learning it is also true that people could have had some very enriching work experience in a shorter time as well. Students who come to ISB come with an aim to learn irrespective from where they get this learning. We have many senior students who have expressed that they have learnt from the experiences of the students with lesser experience. The curriculum is same for all students they add an additional flavour to it by way of sharing their experiences and knowledge. Recruiting companies come to ISB for various roles and positions some which require less work experience and some which require more. There are positions available for the entire range and length of work experience.
1) An evaluation from your previous employment's direct supervisor will be preferred. 2) Yes, you can.

Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to confirm (from the point 2 above) that I can include my undergrad internships too in the employment history? Somewhere I read that the employment history should start only after graduation.
Surprisingly, ISB has not asked about the career goals, Why MBA, Why ISB kind of information in any of the essays. Are these reserved for the interview section?

AJAIN1980,
Your internship will not count as work exp. It is not a mandatory information, if you wish then you an mention the details.

AJAIN1980,
No, there is no such reservation. These questions were a part of the essays last year.

Thank you for providing this information. To clarify it further, what should I write in the 1) No of Employees and 2) the salary? I did it at IIM-Lucknow and it was a research assistant-ship without any stipend. We were a team of two who did it. So should I write the employees as 2 or the total no of people at IIML (~500).

Isb_here_i_am,
Extra curricular activities form an integral part of your application. A good GMAT score will increase your chances of being short listed for an interview. However, essays are also equally important.

Amit,
1) Mention 0 as the number of employees. 2) Enter 0/1 for salary details as well. Upload a letter from IIML stating that you were a full time employee with no salary/stipend.
I am a R1 applicant. As requested in the interview shortlist mail, I had emailed the documents (transcripts) to ISB. It has still not been updated in my application portal (i.e. the "list of documents received by ISB" tab). Can you please let me know if I need to do something about it?
I am an Round-2 applicant. I added 2 recommenders to submit an online application. The email-invite sent to one of the recommenders went to Junk folder, which had an auto-delete on. Hence, the email got deleted. Is there an option to resend the email.

Hi Adcom,
I want to thank you for your innovative and unconventional decision to help us out by using Pagalguy. It would be difficult for me to explain what I mean when I say that today is genuinely a milestone in my life. Part of the credit for my getting admitted goes to the advice I got from you on this forum. Thank you once again.
