Any idea how many students applied for the first round and how many Ivey is planning to intake for the first round?
Hi Chirag,
During my class visit to Ivey, two months ago, the Ivey representative mentioned that they were trying to reduce the number of interviews to streamline the process and it could result in only one interview.
Not sure if the intent is to apply this to all applicants.

I dont think anyone expect someone from the adcom can answer that question...and they might not even know.
So not that they are doing only 1 interview, does anyone know when we can expect a response? I know the decision date is Oct 4th, but do they call before at times?

Today finished my interview. The person was from Career Services.
It was a kind of light dicsussion regarding my resume, future aspirations, why Ivey Why Canada etc. The questions were alomst same as it has been shared earlier on this forum.
I was told that there should be a second round of interview somewhere in Oct starting. Has anybody been told about second interview?

Did you apply to early admissions or round 1? I applied for early and I find ir wierd that they would have 2nd round interviews in OCT when the notification deadline for the early people is oct 4 the latest according to the website.
What date did you apply? If it was after August 26th then you are round 1.

I submitted my application on 4th august. I am also finding it stragne. I will write them an email to clarify this.

Sorry, I mean I applied on July 26, not aug 26. Since you applied on aug 4th, you are part of round 1 not early admissions. This could be the reason you might have an interview in october. I expect a decision by oct 4th.

I checked their website that for early application the deadline was 4th august. As i submitted my applicationd before deadline so it must be considered an early application.
Anyways all the best for your application.

It now mentions "All candidates who are ultimately admitted to Ivey are interviewed, and Ivey conducts interviews by invitation only. The standard admissions process includes one interview, and interviews are conducted by a variety of stakeholders at Ivey including members of the Admissions team, Corporate Relations team, Alumni and Ivey faculty. "
I distinctly remember that this same webpage few days earlier mentioned that there "could be up to two interviews".

I also had my interview yesterday from adcom committe member. The questions were very regular on my current profile. But at some places I didn't answer well so not very optimistic. I asked them if they are going to take another interview..they said no.. from last month it seems they are trying to streamline the process.. Let's see..keeping my fingers crossed.
Any expected dates for the interview result.. I know its mentioned 4th Oct but still wanted to know if anyone asked Ivey about it?

Although my gmat is low, I am not competing with international students and I know this board is mainly indian students who score 700+ on GMAT. I am from Toronto but the only reason I am on here is because it helped me with GMAT and I love getting insight from all of you,
I am hoping that a 630 will be good enough to get in, which is why I applied for early admissons.

Just got an email from Niki regaring the interview process.
"Thanks for your email. You are absolutely correct - the admissions process at Ivey has been streamlined for our 2010 intake with the majority of applications invited to interview with the School once. Finished my interview with Karen couple of hours ago. Went for 43 mins. She had to close it because there were other items for her. Felt like she had a list of questions prepared.
All questions were similar to the ones posted on this thread. A lot of emphasis was on what I am doing now, learnings from past experiences and career goal.
I will not have any more interviews. Hoping for the best outcome.
