I did get that email. Do you really think that means I have a better chance? I think they send that to everyone who applys no? I might be wrong tho...anyways....went to the career fair and if Ivey is a ding, although it was my #1 choice, many other great programs out there.


Let's wait...it's just 2 weeks after your interview. Maybe you will be celebrating next weekend

I got one e mail mentioning about OGS , but this mail came after one week of my application submission and before my interview.... I believe others also might have got this email....

Yeah, I believe they sent this email before the interview so wouldn't think it has lot to do with the results..

That would be great, but they did look very busy and I am sure exhausted from the fair last night, so do not be let down if you dont hear from them. Like someone said before, no news is good news, so as long as you dont get that god awful reject letter....we have hope!

I guess you've already got offer from Queen's, which is also very good especially for ppl having IT background. Trust me, the difference between Canadian B-schools isn't as large as you believe. But if you want to find a job in Canada after graduation, I'd suggest seeking some programs with internship. :-P

I think you can. But their standard reply would be:
Thank you for your email. The Admissions Committee will have decisions made no later than October 4th.

I got email confirmation of admission this morning. If you haven't got anything from them yet, that would be good news:w00t:

I guess the best thing to do is start your other applications. I know it is tough, but will help divert your thoughts, and you will gain some time as well.

If an Ivey offer comes in, stop the other application right there.

I mean at least you didn't get a rejection from them. No news is good news. :-P

hey guys those of you still waiting for a communication from ivey I would suggest keep your cool and wait for a week more or maybe even two. I heard from one of my friends who applied to Ivey and he turned impatient and called them and asked for a quick admit response which resulted in a reject. I think being impatient may adversely affect your application, especially if the application is in a wait-listed state or under review. "Just my opinion" :)

I acknowledge that the wait is very testing, but keep yourself occupied and move on with your other applications and essays.

hey jetekic, currently is it very difficult to find a job in canada after a 1 year program for international students (i.e. without internship) ? I thought only for drastic career shifters an internship is very critical. If one is looking for a job in a related industry and has transferable skills is it still very difficult?
