Hey guys
No news no of admits
The results were supposed to be out this friday
This means that nobody from India got admit or people are just busy enjoying the moment?
completed my ivey interview today... the ivey rep told me that the results would be out by the january deadline... so much for my effort to get my app ready by r1...
my interview lasted for about 35-40 mins... std questions were asked of me...
why mba
why ivey
walk me thru ur career, highlighting key accomplishments
leadership example
difficult team situation and my learning
how will u contribute to ivey
a question about my community involvement
what kind of job do u seek post mba
what do u expect from the career services at ivey
where do u intend to stay after your mba
any final statement that u would like to make to the adcom
and then it was my turn to ask questions...
anybody heard from ivey this weekend?
bobby24in Saysanybody heard from ivey this weekend?
Bobby I was expecting some news from your side
This thread all of sudden is so quiet
I visit this thread so often , but no posts nothing here
Where are all the Ivey aspirants?
Personally, I'm also visiting often but not posting because I have no updates...had my interview on Nov. 18th (R2). From what I've been reading here it seems like Ivey waits until the deadline to advise of acceptance/rejection...Jan. 4 is some time away...would be nice to know before Christmas :

Strange..... i applied for R1 and had my interview on Nov 27th. Wonder how Ivey differentiates between R1 and R2 or is it all mixed up. Anyways you talked about Admits/ Rejects. Any guesses about the waitlisted?
How they differentiate between R1 and R2 in terms of interviews, I'm not sure. Where did you have your interview? I'm a Canadian applicant and had my interview during a class visit, maybe this is explains the discrepancy? With regards to an answer, R1 deadline was Dec. 6th and R2 Deadline is Jan. 4. With regards to being waitlisted - the same deadlines apply. I know of one other person (not on this board) who made R1 deadline and has been waitlisted.
Question about the waitlist - did they specify a deadline of when they will let know of their final decision?

Thanks for the info.I am an indian applicant so that explains the delay in interview. And as for the waitlist results , Ivey has not intimidated us about any specific dates. Since you are from Canada , any idea what are the chances for waitlisted candidates to get through?
Wow, so they could have you waiting 'till March?
No idea on the chances of getting through...I would assume no one knows until all the applicants come through. Then they probably decide based on the quality of all applicants. I haven't had a chance to look on forums, but maybe there are people who posted about getting waitlisted in previous years?

Well ! Ashna
They give deadline to wailisted candidates..it is the same deadline of round 1 or round 2....
Last year few guys got through waitlist...
Once they decide the final cadidiated of a round of applications, and offers are sent to selected candidates, the deadline is also given for the initial deposit...
Those who decide not to pursue Ivey MBA...then these blank spaces are given to waitlisted candidates...
I am waitlisted too.. The deadline given to me was 6th Dec.. so very soon I will know the outcome of my application...
Hope this helps..

@ Ashna, you will receive and official email and a hard copy letter from admission committee on you being waitlisted with deadline for decision.
@ Adas, Well deadline is for making decision, and I will hear with in a day or so about the decision made. Deadline is the date by which the admission committee makes decision on application.
After three days of deadline, I got email of waitlist....
Just a quick question to all the guys who were waitlisted - what are you all planning to do next ? Are you waiting for other admits, in process of other applications. Just wanted to know....

bobby,
I already received this mail from Ivey indicating that I have been waitlisted - got this 3 days before the decision deadline. However, the mail only mentions that a decision will be taken in the "coming months" - I was not given any specific deadline for the waiting-list decision. Seems like waiting list instructions are indeed different for different candidates.

Anyways no choice...except waiting for Ivey's decision and applying to other b schools...
