They gave you the result so early? When did u get the result regarding this wait list decision?

I think you got confused with my some other posts.
I am on waitlist for Ivey but I have got an admit at Queens.
So I am still keeping my fingure crossed for Ivey

Yeah that's correct. I got my result today morning around 8:00 am. But he lady who had interviewed me had said that the results would be out by 6th which is day after!

Did u app in round 1 or round 2. I did it in round 2 and the results are to be declared in jan for that but my interview was on 28th , the day after you were interviewed

Hi Ashna. I think both Queen's and Ivey are excellent and selective colleges. I think any one who gets selected at either of them should be happy - and the final choice should be based on personal preferences, location, scholarship,etc. Thanks.

I applied in R1 but I suppose since they were visiting India in Nov , they decided to wrap up as many Indian interviews as they could.

I am quite surprized that you have been waitlisted evenhough you have GMAT 740 score....it seems that getting an admit has become very competitive...
I was also waitlisted but I am having only 660 score...it means there are very slim chances of getting in for me at this stage....

lol...... mabe its my profile whch is not competitive enuf... GMAT score is just one of the factors considered while admitting a student. What's your profile?
I browsed through this long thread today to get a list of admits/waits/etc., for Spring 2010 Ivey MBA.

Let me know if some names have been missed out or if the status is incorrect.
Ivey will have close to 150 students in the 2010 intake. Assuming Ivey takes in 10% Indians, we should expect 15 Indians in the class.
From Early Round and deferrals, 12 of these positions are already occupied. This leaves just 3 open positions for Indians in the 2010 intake for R1 and R2!
The statistics reveal 2 things:
1. For those on the waiting list, (like me :-(), the chances seem to be pretty bleak.
2. It looks like its really a good option to apply in the early round for Ivey.

You have ajjk as an admit for 2010..but i believe he said he also got deferred admissions to 2011...the rest of the list looks pretty accurate from the quick glance i gave it...
if you can keep it updated with current info and results..im sure it will really benefit everyone on here...

To all of you on waitlist or if you are dinged - my suggestion is to just focus your thoughts and energies and apply to other colleges. This phase (till December end) is very, very crucial. You can't do much about being on a waitlist (or if you are dinged)....its not in your control anymore....but you can do something about your next application. I know its tough......but there is no other alternative. Best of luck.
