The Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2015, has declared the summary of seat allocation in the Round-1 in an official press statement.
A total of 1,52,655 candidates filled-in 1,29,58,458 choices for the academic programs offered by 87 institutes comprising of 18 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 18 IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and 18 Other-GFTIs [as of closing time 5:00 PM on 6th July, 2015].
Based on the category-wise all India ranks in JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-1, JEE (Main) 2015, Paper-2 and JEE (Advanced) 2015, and preferences exercised by the candidates, seats were allocated for Round 1 using DA algorithm implemented by NIC and IIT Kanpur teams.
Allocations were validated for compliance of all the business rules by the testing + validation teams from IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati. It was found that the allocations comply with all the business rules.

Do note that a total of 1,52,655 candidates had filled in 1,29,58,458 choices for the academic programs offered by 87 institutes comprising 18 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 18 IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and 18 other GFTIs. However, Round 4 consists of seat allocation to the NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs only.
Seats have been allocated by JoSAA based on the category-wise all India ranks in JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-1, JEE (Main) 2015, Paper-2 and the preferences exercised by the candidates, .
The process of seat acceptance for round 4 will start from 23rd of July, 2015 and continue till 26th of July, 2015. Students must confirm their seat after which they will not be able to participate in the counselling process.

Karnataka CET 2016 application process begins
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has invited online applications for the Karnataka Common Entrance test (KCET) 2016 for entry into professional courses, including medical, dental, Ayush courses (ICM&H), Engineering, Architecture, Farm science, B-Pharma Pharma-D and others, for the academic year of 2016-17.
The application process has started on 13.01.2015 and will end on 13.02.2016. The last date to pay the fees in the banks specified is 15.02.2016 while the admission tickets can be downloaded on or after 15.04.2016. The application fee fixed for general category and backward class candidates is Rs 650 and for SC and ST candidates is Rs 500.
The date of exam for Biology and Mathematics is 04.05.2016 while the test for Physics and Chemistry will be held on 05.05.2016. The results are expected to be declared in the first week of June, 2016.

KEAM 2016 - 29th January, 2016 is the last date of submission of application
Government of Kerala, Office of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications for admission to Engineering, Medical and Allied Courses, Kerala for the year 2016-17.
The application process started on 03.01.2016 and will end on 29.01.2016. Candidates can apply online on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

'Mock Test for Computer Based Examination' available on JEE (Main) official website

Aspiring candidates for IIT JEE (Main) 2016 can attempt the Mock Test for the computer-based examination on the JEE (Main) official website.
To take the test, candidates need to click on 'Mock Test for Computer Based Examination'. Candidates need to enter their roll number and password to view the instructions before attempting the test. The instructions can be viewed in English or Hindi.

VITEEE 2016 - Application process ends on 29th February
The VIT University is conducting the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2016 and applications are invited for aspirants for admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes. The admissions to the campus in Vellore and Chennai is based only on the candidate's performance in the VITEEE exam. Both the campus have close to 5000 seats in the undergraduate engineering programs and about 2 lakh aspirants are expected to take the prestigious exam.
The application can be availed both online and offline with an application fee of Rs. 960 and Rs. 990 respectively. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website while offline applications are available at selected head post offices. The the last date for application is 29.02.2016.
The computer based test (CBT) will assess students' knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. The exam will have 40 questions each on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics while the English section will have 5 questions. Every correct answer will help student gain 1 mark and there will be no negative marking. The candidates can book the slot for the computer based test by the third week of March 2016.
The exam will be conducted from April 6th to April 17th, 2016. The exams will be conducted in 3 sessions on each day. The exam timings : Session 1: 9:00 am to 11:30 am / Session 2: 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm / Session 3: 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

WBJEE 2016 - Application Process ends on 29th February

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has invited applications for WBJEE 2016, for admissions to undergraduate courses in medical and engineering streams for the academic session 2016-2017.
The online form fill-up and registration will end on 29.02.2016. Engineering aspirants need to fill up their personal details, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. The payment of application fee can be through Allahabad Bank e-Challan or EPG. Post the payment of fee, the candidate can take the printout of the confirmation page generated. Candidates are not required to send the documents by post.
The exam will assess students' knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The exam will have 40 questions each on Physics and Chemistry while the section on Mathematics will have 75 questions. Each questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions and the answer(s) to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR sheet.

JKCET 2016 - Application process ends on 20th February

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations has invited applications for admissions to undergraduate courses in medical, engineering and other professional streams for the academic session 2016-2017.
The online form fill-up and registration will end on 20.02.2016. Engineering aspirants need to fill up the details and pay the application fee. The payment of application fee can be done through HDFC integrated Payment Gateway which can be used to make payment with any national Credit Card/Debit Card/ or by downloading online generated Bank Challan of J&K Bank or HDFC Bank for depositing the fee amount , in any branch of J&K Bank or HDFC Bank , directly in the Board of Professional Entrance Exam (BOPEE) Account. The exam will assess students' knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The exam will consist of 2 papers, Paper 1 will have 60 questions each on Physics and Chemistry while Paper 2 on Mathematics will have 60 questions. Each question will carry one mark for every correct answer and will have a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every incorrect answer. The answer to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR sheet.

The BITS Pilani University is conducting the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2016 and applications are invited for aspirants for admissions to various undergraduate engineering programmes. The admissions to the campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad is based on the candidate's performance in BITSAT. All the campuses combined have close to 2000 seats in the undergraduate engineering programs and about 2 lakh aspirants are expected to take the prestigious exam. The entrance exam will be conducted in 51 test cities in India and Dubai.
The application can be availed online and candidates can apply by visiting the official website and registering their name. The candidates need to complete the application form online and pay the prescribed application fee. After submitting the application form, candidates should take printouts of the application form, fee payment and other necessary documents for future use. The the last date for application is 05.03.2016.
BITSAT-2016 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break) and the test will consist of 4 sections: Part I : Physics Part II : Chemistry Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning and Part IV : Mathematics. The sections on Physics and Chemistry will consist of 40 questions each while the section on English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning will have 15 and 10 questions respectively. The section on Mathematics will consist of 45 questions.
Candidates can choose BITSAT 2016 exam centers from within India or Dubai. Selecting a test center within India, allows you to select three center preferences while candidates opting for Dubai as test venue will not be allowed any center preference.
The exam will be conducted from May 14th to May 28th, 2016.

JEE (Main) 2016 aspirants can now check any discrepancy in their scanned uploaded images. The official website of JEE Main 2016 has a login feature where applicants can check for their uploaded scanned images, whether the images are accepted or not for the application form. Candidates can edit, replace their images if they don't meet the specifications as mentioned in the JEE (Main) 2016 Application Form.
As per reports, this facility applies only to those who have received messages from the JEE office and not to all applicants. Candidates who are not sure of their documents can anyway visit the website and cross check.
