of inferiority that kills him rather than tension. "Students should be informed
about other career options and importance of life than anything else", he said.
Nitin Jain said that study about suicides needs
to be conducted in Kota with the help of NGO's for detailed analysis of student
suicides causes and their
Govind Maheshwari said that students

Jaswant Gembali, a student of Allen Career Institute Kota, preparing for the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), has won the OLX Ideathon 2015 Award for his innovative idea on the Swacch Bharat Mission. The Ideathon ran a campaign under the theme 'My Country My Idea', where Jaswant's idea was selected amongst the 10 best ideas for the Swacch Bharat Mission. He received the award from tennis star Sania Mirza at an award function in Gurgaon earlier this month.
Nearly 30,000 students of 8th - 12th classes from 100 schools across 10 cities in India participated in the contest, generating 550 ideas. The jury which selected the winners comprised movie director Sudhir Mishra, environmentalist Sunita Narayan, tennis star Sania Mirza and Irvinipreet Singh Anand of OLX.
Jaswant, who is from Jeypore in Odisha, got the idea to convert vegetable market waste into manure after visiting the vegetable market in Mahavir Nagar, Kota. This will help keep the market clean and also help increase the earnings of vegetable vendors. "Vendors can collect the waste from the market while closing their shops every evening, and transform it into manure", said Jaswant. "They can also sell the manure in the market, and get some extra money as well," he stated. He continued that vendors can drop all their garbage in a common bin which the local municipal body can collect at the end of the day to convert into manure. Garbage collection will help keep the city clean, and the manure will help boost agricultural production.
Sania Mirza described Jaswant's idea as a 'Game Changer Idea' while handing over the award.
Jaswant has also written 5 novels including 'Nature Fuller', 'Stop It Police', and 'True Determination of Your Behavior'. He wants to research on the brain after joining a medical college.
Allen Career Institute, Kota, director Naveen Maheshwari said that Allen motivated students like Jaswant to participate in such competitions, and they were happy that Jaswant's success made everyone proud.
Wearing slippers in his hands instead of his legs, a polio-infected student from Bihar has utilised his coaching in Kota to success, and is now studying in NIT Arunachal Pradesh.
Deepak Singh, originally from a village in the Paliganj region of Patna district (Bihar), has defied all odds to reach a place people like him rarely reach. His mother passed away immediately after his birth, and he was struck with polio when just 4 months old. His father, Rampukar Singh, started playing a dual role of mother & father to him. Deepak went to the local school and studied in the Hindi medium till class 8. "There would be no electricity at home due to poverty, and I would have to study outdoors," he recalls. Later, he went to the Paliganj school for higher classes. His father encouraged him and helped him through his struggles. He also ensured that Deepak was admitted in Allen Career Institute in Kota, to prepare for the JEE.
"I would wear chappals on my hands as otherwise they would bleed after walking," he reminisces. His friends, Mayank Kumar & Avinash Shankar, encouraged him throughout this time. Their trust in him paid off after he scored an All India Rank of 1200, in the Disabled category. He has joined NIT Arunachal Pradesh, where he will study Chemical Engineering.
Allen Career Institute, Kota, Director Naveen Maheshwari said, "Deepak, despite his disabilities, has achieved the successes students who are physically normal are unable to achieve." The institute provided a fee rebate of 75% to Deepak for his coaching, and has also awarded him a scholarship of Rs. 1,500 per month for the four years of his engineering degree.

We are thankful to each and every individual for their continuous support."
The current record will be showcased in the Education chapter of the Limca Book of Records in its 2016 edition. However, Allen is set to break its own record in the coming season as they have already enrolled over 76,000 students at their campuses in Kota city alone, for their 2015-16 session.
A group of 18 school teachers from Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) visited Kota city on a 3-day tour. Major RK Thakur, of the 58 Rajasthan Rifles regiment, Indian Army, who accompanied them, stated that these teachers were on a Goodwill Tour of New Delhi & Kota to let them know of the development of youth in the other parts of the country. The visitors, who teach in the 10th - 12th classes in government schools in the Ramband District of J&K, also met students of Allen Career Institute, who are preparing for their engineering and medical entrance examinations.
One teacher, Balweer Singh from Rajauri, compared the peaceful environment in Kota with his village in J&K. Another teacher, Kewal Krishna, of Mandeen Village, mentioned that although their students had to study under trees, they could not roam alone in the villages. Due to this, they would send their students to Kota for better education.
Some students from J&K were also happy to meet teachers from their home state. A student, Shah Shoaib, said that his father, Dr. Riyaz Ahmed, had sent him to Kota from their home in Pulgam to prepare for medical entrance exams, as he was getting a proper educational atmosphere here in Kota.
The Director of Allen Career Institute, Kota, Naveen Maheshwari, said that the group of visitors, both teachers & armymen, were impressed with the Kota City & its philosophy of education which believes in bringing everyone together. 'Students from J&K not only study here, but they also pray & offer Namaaz here in Kota, as well as celebrate festivals like Eid, with everyone else,' he stated.
Author and filmmaker Pankaj Dubey launched his second novel, 'Ishqiyapa',
at Career Point Institute and Maharishi Arvind College, Kota. He also held
interactive sessions with the students of these institutes. Ishqiyapa is a love
story based on the changing conduct of youngsters during the period from the
post-globalization era to today's digital age. It was launched in Mumbai
earlier this month.
When asked why he chose Kota for a launch, Dubey stated that Kota is a centre
where students from across the country arrive to study for their engineering
& medical entrance exams. This made it an important location for reaching
out to readers. 'Even though my readers are not confined to Kota, students are
key readers for me as they refresh themselves from their tiring study schedules
through reading such books,' he said. Pramod Maheshwari, Chairman and Executive
Officer of Career Point Group said that young authors like Dubey are idols for
the coaching city of Kota while Director of Maharishi Arvind Group, Sanjay
Parashar, said that book reading can develop student's intellect and lead to their
brain development.
Originally from Jharkhand, 37 year old Dubey has also made two short
films, and also has worked as a screenplay supervisor for Hindi films 'Ghanchakkar'
& 'Chauranga'. Dubey told PaGaLGuY that his debut novel, 'What a Loser'
(English) / 'Loser Kahin Ka' (Hindi) was a bestseller, published by Penguin
Publishers, who have published his current novel too. A story of an identity
crisis of a youngster coming from a small town to a metro to fulfil his father's
dream, Dubey also plans to make a film based on his first novel. 'I would
probably be the first filmmaker in the history of Indian cinema to make a film
based on his own novel, as usually filmmakers make films based on novels of other
authors', he claimed. 'I want to reach out to not only the literate who read my
books, but also to those who have a right to get entertained through the medium
of cinema,' he said.

Career Point Institute of Kota organised an event on Wednesday, 7th October, called "UDAAN 2015" to felicitate students of class 10th who have secured 10 CGPA (A1 Grades) in all subjects. Students from 21 schools in Kota participated in the event and more than 250 students were felicitated with a certificate of appreciation. Some students were also provided scholarships for coaching programmes at Career Point.
The
students were arranged and called in groups of alphabets and each group was
given a positive adjective like, A for Amazing, B for Brilliant, C for Candid,
D for Dashing and so on till Y. Students
of Global Public School and Career Point Gurukul performed various cultural
programs like Group Dance, Solo Song and Medley.
Career
Point's Academic Director, Shailendra Maheshwari said, "There are three basic
characteristics; positive attitude, hard work and love which will bring you
success in life." He gave examples from Edison's biography and stated that it
is the result of positive attitude and hard work that brought success to Edison
in discovery of a bulb, despite failing a 1000 times.
Students praised the coaching class and were grateful to be
felicitated among huge crowds. Divyatez Singh Sisodia, student of Global Public
School said,
"I am
thankful to Career Point for this great event and for the motivational speech by
Shailendra Sir."

Certificate of Appreciation."
Nearly
129 coaching institutes that dot the city of Kota have been demanding that the
Government of Rajasthan recognise them as 'junior colleges'. This however seems
to be stuck in a limbo, as the government doesn't have a mechanism/policy in
place to provide such recognition.
"Coaching
institutes have put forth their demand to the Government of Rajasthan to be
recognised as junior colleges. However, the State Education Department doesn't
have any policy even to recognise schools which teach the 11th and
12th standards as junior colleges. It is highly unlikely that our
demand will be met with." says Pramod Maheshwari, Managing Director and CEO of
Career Point.
The
system of coaching classes being recognised as junior colleges already exists
in quite a few states like Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The
recognition of these coaching classes as junior colleges may be of immense
benefit to students and institutes both. For students, it will reduce the
burden of having to attend classes and school/junior colleges together, hence
easing out the hectic schedule that they have to follow daily. Coaching institutes
can tie up with the hostel facilities and get them regulated ensuring safe and
affordable accommodation. This can bring in some semblance of order in the highly
unorganised local market of hostel facilities and rented accommodations. Also
the financial burden caused by paying for both school and coaching will be
eased.
It
is not an impossible task for the Rajasthan Govt. to recognise the coaching
classes as junior colleges. While it has already been carried out in other
states, this policy can only be implemented better in a state with a coaching hub
like Kota. "The only reason why they may not be agreeing to this demand is
probably because the govt. would want to emphasize on school education as well,
instead of just coaching for competitive entrance exams. If they agree to this
move, it will be a win-win situation for both coaching classes and students."
says Ambarish Kumar Tiwari, Head IT at Bansal Classes Pvt. Ltd.
The
move to recognise the coaching classes as junior classes and combine the school
and private coaching as one has been successful in other states. It remains to
see how and if at all the Government of Rajasthan will take the initiative to
bring in the required changes. They are the toughest changes but with due
consideration to the benefit of students it may be worth the effort.
Kota's coaching students offers suggestions for Smart City initiative
A seminar inviting suggestions from the youth brigade of
the education city Kota was conducted in Allen Career Institute's Samyak campus,
at Kunhari, Kota by the consultants of Feedback Infra Ltd. who have been appointed
by the Municipal Corporation of Kota for the Smart City initiative. The
suggestions and solutions would be then proposed to the District Administration
and Municipal Corporation of Kota.
As per survey consultant Kartik Kumar, after being
shortlisted as one of India's 100 Smart Cities, Kota was further selected in
the 20 cities where more focus would be given on improving the basic facilities
and infrastructures in the first year. He suggested that students of the
education city should come forward, participate in the development of the city
and shall give their suggestions on the
website created for the same.
Kota doesn't' have any Mass Transport system at present.
Due to the lack of a proper system, students are charged huge rentals from Auto
Drivers. A student suggested that if the district administration intervenes and
sets up Auto Booths for every route, this problem may be resolved.
Another student voiced his opinion of how badly the
localities need dustbins, and due to their absence people throw garbage on the
road itself.
Government Hospitals lacking in cleanliness: According to
the students preparing for medical examinations, when asked about the health
facilities, they pointed towards the unhygienic conditions of the government
hospitals where the doctors themselves are not concerned about such issues. The
hospitals face frequent power cuts, lack in clean water and basic facilities.
Police careless with the rules: A student said that the local police itself
doesn't take care in following rules, many of them can be seen littering,
throwing their half smoked cigarettes on the road so that they don't miss
making any 'challans'.
A consultant suggested that like Jaipur, where CCTV
cameras have been installed on crossroads, the police officials are in constant
pressure of abiding by the rules. Similarly, the citizens should be more aware and
keep Kota clean and green, plan more trees in and around their houses and take
of their garbage.
Another student, who has been in Kota since the past 1.5
years, suggested "For a smarter city, citizens will have to become smart
themselves. They are like our guardians. In the institute, the teachers take
good care of students, but outside, in the colonies where we reside, we face
difficulties in everything from room rents to the food we are served in the
mess. They are always ahead in making money but never want to provide facilities."
Students also complained that the government must
continuously monitor the drinking water as they are facing a lot of health
issues in the absence of clean mineral water.
Resonance PCCP Student selected for Indian National Mathematics Olympiad
