Mahima had arrived in Kota this year for coaching for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) from a coaching institute of Kota. She was studying in class 11th in a private school in Kota. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her rented accommodations in RK Puram area of the city in the morning today.

Coaching institutes of Kota and their students have proved their mettle in the KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) 2016 Aptitude Test results. So far, the institutes have claimed 785 selections.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for online submission of application forms of JEE Mains 2017 to January 16, 2017. Earlier, the last date for online submission of the JEE Mains 2017 form was January 2, 2017.
The Executive Director of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) in the notice has asserted saying, “In view of the requests from various candidates / parents as well as schools, the date of the online submission of application forms of JEE Mains 2017 has been extended up to January 16, 2017 till 11.59 PM.”
The notice further says that the fees may be paid by the candidates up to January 17, 2017 till 11.59 PM. The notice has clarified that the other terms and conditions for the online submission of application forms will remain the same.
The notice also mentioned that the last date of online submission of application forms JEE Mains 2017 shall not be extended any further.The decision has come as a relief for those aspirants who have not filed their online forms and the last date of January 2, 2017 was fast approaching.
However, now aspirants have got an additional time of two weeks to file the online application forms.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a mock test for JEE 2017 aspirants. The computer-based mock test is available on the official JEE Main website.
The total duration of the test is 180 minutes. The website will display an automatic countdown timer on the screen, which will help the candidates ascertain the remaining time available to answer the questions. At the end of 180 minutes, answers will be automatically recorded on the website, so candidates need not click the submit button.
Candidates aren't required to solve questions chronologically; and can return to the questions which they left unanswered. They will be allowed to change answers before finishing the exam. The website has provided an option to candidates to view all questions at one go.There will be only one correct answer to each question.
The process of scoring will be the same as in the JEE Main online examination scheduled on April 8 and 9, 2017. Every correct answer carries four marks, and an incorrect response costs one-fourth mark. If no answer is given, no marks will be deducted.
The mock test can be viewed in English as well as in Hindi. It is divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, having 30 questions each. Meanwhile, aspirants must note that the question paper displayed on the official
JEE Main portal is for practice only, and it should not be mistaken as a sample paper.

Girl coaching aspirant preparing for NEET ends life in Kota
A female coaching aspirant preparing for NEET hanged herself to death in Kota, the first coaching student suicide of the year. Tanya Rana (18) of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, was found hanging from ceiling fan in her hostel room in the Kunhadi area of Kota on Friday midnight. Hostel authorities later informed about the suicide to the Kunhadi Police Station, which arrived at the hostel and took the body in its posession. Postmortem of the deceased student will be done on the arrival of her parents from Himachal Pradesh.
