KVS has called pgt,CS candidates for interview in the ratio of 1:8(for each post). Whereas it is 1:12.7 for pgt,phy ; 1:9 for pgt,Eco ; 1:3.5 for pgt,Hindi.

I think they have called large number of candidates because the range of marks between max and min marks of those qualified for interview is less. For physics range could be very less their cut-off was also very less. Wherever range was less they have called for more number of candidates. In Hindi the range could be more so they have called for less number of candidates.

So, when the range of marks of candidates is less, each and every qualified candidate has good chance to get the post if they perform well in interview. For CS, they called 8 times the number of posts which implies range of marks is low.
