Had my gd/interview today at Bombay.
XAT Score: 95.00
X: 75.06
XII: 78.00
Grad (stream/score): Commerce/60.85
Aything else that enhances your profile: 
Was in the 3'o clock slot. We were 15 in the batch of which 2 were absent. The GD topic was "The Indian education system has not benefited creativty." or something like that.
Had a very average GD, spoke only 3 times : We were asked to give a written summary of the points discussed in the GD.
Was the first to be called for the PI. The panel was the same as the GD.
Prof Vandana Zachariah, Prof T.A. Sivasubramaniam, Prof Emmanuel Arockiam.
Was a total chill PI.

Gave the answers confidently, thats what i feel. Prof Siva mentioned my below par performance in the GD :

No questions from my acads or anything. in fact it felt as if the panel was searching for questions. Dont worry dude its a chill process.

what kind of ppl wer there dude? as in ppl wer aggressive and was the gd a fish market? or everyone was allowed to speak?

Actually it was a very civilised group. Most of the times only one person was speaking. GD was not a fish market at all, it was a nice experience.

Hi All,
I had my GD/PI today in St Joseph college of administration Bangalore.
Here are the details:
Slot: 3:30 PM
Location: Given above
GD Topic: Ethics and Moral values are not relevant in our post liberalisation economy.
We had 2 mins to compose our thoughts, approx 15 mins to discuss following which someone was to summarise in 2 mins. After that, we had to write a summary in 2 mins. They said write a summary or your view, doesnt matter. What they are looking for is how good your written communication is.
GD was good. No fish market. Came in with a couple of points. Everybody spoke without interruptions. Was the most civilized GD I was ever a part of 
PI: I was the 3rd to go in. The panel was same as GD. They were:
P1-> Prof. Fernando
P2-> Father Maria
P3-> Forgot his name unfortuantely 😞 I think it was Prof Rajeshwar
B-> The one and only bakra aka me
P1: So you are a Hegde? hmmmmm
B: Yes sir (wonder what he is thinking :confused:)
P2: So why LIBA?
B: Gave gyan
P1: What other calls?
B: Told 4 of them.
P1: Which one will you take?
B: Gyan on evaluating all etc
P2: Which all interviews are over?
B: Told
P2: I suppose results are not out
B: No sir
P2: So if we give you the call letter for LIBA tomorrow, will you join
B: (beaming) Yes sir!
P3: (Enters for first time) What are your views on reservation?
B: Told
P3: You did not speak much in the GD. Why?
B: Gave gyan on how its not all about speaking and did not want to speak for the heck of it.
P3 Father?
B: Told about my father
P3: No no, I was asking father if he wants to ask something
B: (Laughing) oh sorry sir
P2: (Laughing too) No no, I was going to ask about your family only. Tell me about your father
B: Told
P2: Where are you from?
B: Told
P2: So you came all the way from there?
B: No sir, I stay in Bangalore
P1: You stay alone?
B: Told
P3: Your job profile?
B: Told
P2: Would you mind going back to your old company?
B: Not at all sir. But I would go back as Business Analyst.
P1: Wouldnt you get promoted to a manager's post if you stay on?
B: I would but it would be in technical side. I want to be involved in the domain aspect of it
P1: So Hegdes are like Shettys right?
B: Explained how there are diff kind.
P2: What all languages you know?
B: Told
At this point they all decided they have no more ques for me

in the end of GD do dey ask to conclude i mean tell u dat last 1 or 2 min is reamining n u can conclude...........or we'll hv to keep a check of time and conclude??????

No need to take your CV. They will give you a form to fill there. Your marks and work ex etc. They will say now you can conclude and someone needs to step up and conclude.

Had GD-PI in mumbai, the process got started 1 hour late (was in 11am slot)
GD topic was : "In most corporates, ethics is for show, corruption is for real"
Were given 2 minutes to prepare points.. and then the father said start!
It was a 15 minutes GD, was "almost" a fish market, with some people speaking a lot, and some did not speak much (I was in the later kinds) :biggrin:
The father then interrupted to say "Let others speak too"
And others spoke ..
In the end, we were asked to write a summary of what was discussed in GD.
PI was pretty chilled out
1. Tell me something about yourself
They also asked me why I spoke less in GD :(
2. Difference between Microsoft and MAC OS
3. Why MBA
4. Why LIBA
5. Why should we take you
6. Any questions you want to ask about LIBA
Thats it...
Much skeptical of my call getting converted though.
No need to take your CV. They will give you a form to fill there. Your marks and work ex etc. They will say now you can conclude and someone needs to step up and conclude.

Hi friends,
My first post. I had my Liba gd/pi today(06/03) at St. Xaviers, Mumbai, 3:00 pm batch. It was a group of about 13. Two students were absent.
First, before the GD began, there was a short talk(kind of presentation) by one of the members of the panel on LIBA. We were also given time to ask any questions on LIBA. We asked about this years placements. He said about 80% of the students have been placed till now. And the process was still on to get the rest of them placed.
The GD began by about 3:15 pm. The panel consisted of three members. The topic was "Do human rights matter when dealing with terrorists and others who do not respect that". We were given aobut 3-4 minutes to think and jot down the points and then about 11 mins. to discuss on the topic. The discussion went on quite smoothly.
Then the PI. It was the same panel as the GD's. It was a short PI for me.
1. Tell me about yourself?
2. Why MBA?
3. Many of the successfull businessmen have not taken MBA's.
Why should do you do it then?
4. Which specialisation are you opting for? Why?
5. What was your specialisation for B.TECH?
6. Why LIBA?
These were the main questions. My PI was over by 4:15 pm.
The final list of selected students will be out by 23rd or 24th of March.
