yeah man...feeling gulty...had a 3 hr sleep in the evening....missed gym again! (dont ask me when did i start goin....been missing it daily...as long as i remember) but hey.....am perfectly in shape...(round is a shape afterall!) its just that i wanted to give dumble aka rockball some motivation and company! what say guys...kal ka quiz ka kuch pada hai kya? yaar this subject is so boring...i go to sleep even during quiz time.....

after a long time even I slept in the evening for 3 hours (missing my badminton though)
but now it seems that the study load is decresing as we are not studying any more (atleast not me after mid-terms)
no use yaar
sleep in class and write just anything in exams (result aane par pata chalega ki kya likha tha)
now all the clubs are also in full swing so being a member of a club have to work for that as well
anyway life is chilling down here as the temperatures are also going down in NCR

new update from MDI.. nominations for the OP jain scholarships have been sent.. its a scholarship that is awarded to students from the top b schools in the country.. n guess wat! our Mufasa is on the list

Well....today we had a metting of monetrix (the finance club of mdi) in which we were given a game to be played on lan. all the new guys (first yr janta) were divided into teams and each team was supposed to analyse the given scenarios and then give the input. It was a macroeconomic based banking game in which the whole economic scenario at a particular time was given along with the seed capital to start a bank. various conditions like the interest rate, inflation rate, CRR, SLR, bank branches to be set up, marketing expense, deposit rate, lending rate and what not were supposed to be factored in and each team had to submit their strategy of making the maximum out of te market. Interesting game...but had loads of technical issues which made it boring.....had planned of playing 4 rounds initially....but called it a day after a single round...which itself took 3 hours!

I'm appearing for CAT this year. I just want to kow what is the expected percentile in MDI. You would be knowing this from the %tiles of your peers. Is there any sectional cut-offs?:)

Assuming you are applying for the PGPM course. The cutoff observed this year has been 98+%ile overall and sectional has been 80+%ile in all. Can't say much on the sectional cutoffs but there are quite a few like me with good sectionals in 2 (98+) but screwed one sectional getting in 80s.
For the HR program the cutoffs are a bit lower ..in the range 95/96+ overall.

Yesterday was an eventful day...Brand Equity quiz which was well organised. I won no cash 😞 btu did manage to win a kit-kat :)

Then played football at night 11:30pm and volleyball after 1:00 am

Seems relaxed now but soon we will have to submit tons of projects and presentations and stuff....

Bombardier... ahem... it's OP Jindal scholarships actually!
It really means that MDI has proved itself to be among the 10 best b Schools in India yet again,even in the corporate..Though I feel it's much better than some in the top 10..but that's a different topic, and I think every college has a USP, so there is not much to be profited from the debate...
This scholarship is open only to students from the IIMs,MDI,FMS and SPJain....As far as my knowledge goes, this is the first time it is being offered... 20 students from the first year and second year each have been shortlisted to appear for the test this Sunday.. Criteria for first year is the overall CAT score and for the second year the CGPA....

hi puys from MDI :)... m not one from ur community.. but surely one who wud love to b ur junior by next year :satisfie: had jus one query.. had seen the PGPIM course details on the MDI site.. it wud b gr8 if any of u cud throw some more light on the same.. also i had the following few queries:
1. is the stint in 5th/6th term in ESCP-EAP mandatory??
2. how is this ESCP-EAP rated by international standards?
3. do u get some assistance for work permit etc.. after the course for working in europe?
4. the fews for ESCP-EAP are these separate or inclusive of the approx 8lac mentioned on the MDI web site..
5. also approx wats the total budget (inclusive of basic suvival / course fees and all)of the whole 2 year duration (inclusive of the european stint)
6. do we get any part time work / scope to earn while in training so that the load fees can be reduced?
7. lastly how is this PGPIM held visa vis PGPM course of MDI???

talking bout delphique.. its a great interaction opportunity for the students with corporates..v r having some really impressive ppl coming over to mdi.. for instance, Mr. Robert Duane Erickson, COO, WalMart, India has been with walmart for 37 years.. he started working for walmart when it had just 20 stores... so that is some great experience he has behind him..

Had an interaction with foreign students today who r here for IM program, and I was surprised to seea DESI among them from Berlin University, German
It was good to be with them as I am sure we will learn a lot from them about everything (hmmmm).
anyway there were guys from France, US, Germany and other countries so a pleasant mix
Today for the fisrt time I came to know what was written on my T Shirt (I didn't knew it was French)

I really envy the IM guys today as they will attend classes with them and really the learning is going to be very high (both in and out of classroom)
