Imperium, for those who are not aware, is the flag ship event of MDI, its annual fest.... This year we celebrated it on a bigger scale than last year, had a lot of colleges participating from the country and abroad...will try to get pictures of the event... Imperium, the Annual Inter B-School Management and Cultural Event of MDI, Gurgaon is a three day long event involving the best intellectual and effervescent soldiers of today, the finest students from the best business schools in India and abroad battle it out to attain supremacy in intellect, creativity and presence of mind. The business games at Imperium involve intense passion, perseverance and dexterity, applied in the context of the corporate challenges blended with loads of frolic.
Three days of mind, maze and mettle coupled with fun, frolic and frenzy encompass the intellectual wars. Imperium boasts of games and simulations from various fields of management, case studies and mega brain-storming battles in the Corporate Quiz, hosted by renowned quizmasters, balanced by a cartload of informal events like Antakshari, Whose line is it anyway, Just a Minute and not to forget the star nights. The coming together of the brightest minds and the war of wits will be a treat to watch and will surely be a genesis for revolutionary ideas.
Imperium this year plans to launch Nautica as its main event. Nautica, a one-of-its-kind on-line game will revolve around the various management concepts blended with real-life simulation. Trade started in early ages through the seas. Explorers like Vasco da Gama sailed around the world on their exploration missions, finding new places and developing the concept of trade. The nautical miles they covered and navigated are the reason for todays world trade scenario. Nautica aims to explore. Explore the opportunities todays business scenario offers. Explore the avenues, explore the world. And Connect to Create!

Cramming time on in MDI with the 2nd term exams in progress.... 3 gone, 4 left 😃 ..and then we go off for a 10 day break... 1st break since college began in June... we believe in working hard ;-)

as for "much deserved" => for many of ur batchmates this term break is their first chance to go back home ... so much deserved 😃
The thing that hits you, literally, when you step back into Gurgaon after the vacations is the freezing weather... with temperatures hovering around 2 degree, it will be a bigger ordeal than usual to get ourselves into the 8:30 am class....
People are back from the vacations, and the 3rd semester begins today... and to me it appears to be the best so far in terms of the courses offered... a right mixture of Fin,IT and strategy...should help me in deciding what I want to specialize in
We are into the middle semesters now, and it feels that it was only yesterday that we had entered college... I love this place, and though more than a year is left for me to pass, I am going to miss it when it happens....
Hopefully, this one year will be fully utilised and a legacy will be left behind.....
People are back from the vacations, and the 3rd semester begins today... and to me it appears to be the best so far in terms of the courses offered... a right mixture of Fin,IT and strategy...should help me in deciding what I want to specialize in

Couldn't have agree more with Mufi bhaai!! 😃 The day I came back from Bombay the cold here was mind numbing ... but thankfully the weathers improved and now its quite pleasant .... infact just yesterday we could afford to carry out the usual Birthday@MDI rituals at DOME which would have been unthinkable few days back ...
newyz besides the weather the new term looks interesting with good mix of subjects and a rather eclectic mix of faculty with good amount of corporate, consult and research experience.
And the campus will now be abuzz with team selections for various acad and event clubs .... and also the National Alumni Meet is coming up on the 19th Jan.
Interesting times ahead @ MDI. 😃

The annual National Alumni Meet of MDI was held on the 19th January 2008 on campus. This much awaited event held special importance this year because it marked the registration of the Alumni society.
In addition to this MDI launched a standalone website for its esteemed alumni that will provide a much needed platform for all the present and old students of the college to come together and connect with each other. The first batch of NMP students and the 98 batch of PGPM was felicitated on this occasion. Other events included a cricket match organised on the campus grounds for the alumni on 19th morning. This fun filled activity helped all ManDevIans to relive the good times spent together and bring back fond memories.
