Thanks a lot Ram.... you guys have been awesome.... You guys were more confident that I would get it than I was myself....
It certainly means a lot to me, both in recognition and reward... surely one of my BIGGEST achievements... but somehow I have started believing in destiny even more after this... more than the CAT results....
but why get philosophical at this moment.... It's time to celebrate and carry on the MDI name to greater heights.....

we are starting with our cricket tournament on monday and there r numerous teams participating
three from PGPM sec B only, so the competition is going to tough
I am also part of a team and we gonna win
the rules are kept as per international standards and it will be a 12 over match, so forget T20, now its time for MDI T12 (Twelve 12)
Well the tournament is over. Keeping aside the personal disappointments, gotta say it was fantastic. Being an ardent cricket hater, I was surprised at the passion I felt all of last week. Barring a few hiccups, it was well organized and some of the games were real crackers.
If only our team could have done a bit better.....:(:(:(

nothing but the top spot would have satisfied us...but we played well, gave it our best... If only the fielding was upto the mark....
Anyway, it was a well organised tournament... matches started around 2030 hrs and ended around 0500 hrs the next morning.... All the matches were under lights, and I must say that the participation and "spark" was electrifying... apart from being a game, I am sure this has strengthened the bonds among the Mandevians... Next big thing at MDI ---> SUMMERS:wow:
when is that?? ATB to all π πmufasa SaysNext big thing at MDI ---> SUMMERS:wow:

any way Mufasa Bhai rocked in Statistics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ya right...If a grade of C+ is rocking ya I rocked.... languishing in the middle of the batch in terms of the dreaded CGPA.. :(:(:(:(
.... finally the secnd term mid terms got over today evning!!
but just as most were in the mood to :) after stepping out of the classes .... we had a briefing for summers to attend ..... n got a 'gentle reminder' that theres no time to relax ..... theres so much mre to do for summers ....:neutral:
but neverthless .... as i right this many r out of the campus partying n washing off the exam blues (if they had ne in the 1st plce π ) ........ nevermind the classes tomorrow .... the marketing case to be analysed ... some book to be read .. etc etc ....
life in a b-school is one big party newyz!! π π
1) Illumina was held with great success.....
2) 2 term mid sem exams started and before I could realise they got over...

3) diwali atmosphere has kicked in, the hostel is almost empty...
4) had an amazing manacc class today.... only thing we didn't learn is what's written in the book, coz we can learn that whenever we want...:) but an hour and a half of the Prof's time, is something that I look forward to 2 times a week....

Hi,
With the amount and quality of work ex that you have, it makes more sense for you to target courses which are for people with high work ex. such courses are as u rightly said offered by isb and iims... this is not the right thread to get info for these courses, and we may end up giving you wrong information.. use the advanced search feature to locate the isb and iim threads and post ur queries there..
Thanks & regards,
Balaji
today is an apt day to add to the thread though... Today we celebrate the MDI Annual Day... the festivities are scheduled to start in the evening and loads of events are lined up.... have a macroeconomic presentation to be made at 5:30 PM today... the subject gives nightmares to people... had statistics as my nemesis in the last sem, macro seems to be the one in this semester.... MDI's annual fest Imperium is going to be held over the next three days.. we have had great participation this year from the Indian and foreign B Schools... Imperium would be something that would showcase our management skills...
Perhaps the biggest event of the 1st year has taken place on campus..watch this space for the news....

Seems that not only me but other fellow pagal Mandevians are also getting irregular on this thread.... especially with so much happening on campus...

hi
The APROS colloquium will consider issues and challenges involved in the clash of commercial cultures from the developed west in their interaction with the operating context immanent in the REEs, and the domestic companies from the REEs in their quest to survive, compete and join the ranks of 'cutting edge organizations'.
The colloquium will bring together international scholars and practitioners to address the political, economic, sociological, cultural, institutional and legal factors and issues that shape governance structures, employment relations, and management practices in the contemporary functioning of organizations.
The colloquium will debate how evolving management practices, processes and change, in their convergence and divergence across industries, cultures and nations, are shaping the world, and our understanding of it, today.
