Cool evening breeze, chit-chatting with friends near the ground, BLISS !
A long vacation coming up in a few days. Hols on 31st and 1st. First years are eagerly awaiting the end of the mid-term to go home for hols.
Very heavy rain pouring outside. A new unofficial club 'Umbrella Boyz' has been formed recently to spread the magic of walking in the rain with an umbrella.
Exams concluding tomorrow. Juniors leaving for their hometowns for the term break. Campus will be devoid of some lively activity till 11th sept. \
Nothing better than a cup of hot steaming tea on a cold night. Just when I thought I was done with it, my roomie offers me some Boost and some biscuits. Life is beautiful.
shekys SaysThe Buddy system is up and running. One or two juniors mapped to one senior who will be a mentor to the junior(s) till the end of this academic year. Waiting for mid-terms to conclude. Two done, five to go.
This is really good idea. Keep it up.
PS: no intention of spamming. π
Went to Rock Fort temple after a long time. Had a breathtaking view of Trichy from the hilltop. The four sides of the temple provided four different perspectives of the city. Headed to Megamart next to do some shopping followed by dinner at Reliance Mart food court. Had a great saturday.
In a fix!
Here I am at my home after a long time where I am thoroughly enjoying with my loved ones and at the same time immensely missing BIM family, as if it has already been a part of me.Only 2 days of my leave remains yet I am not unwilling to return to the campus life.Life at BIM-Already it pains me with the thought what exactly would it be after 2 years-Life without BIM..
Corporate presentation started from yesterday. Our Placom team started going to different cities to visit companies to bring them for Summers and Executive. 1st years are back in coll after their holidays and 2nd years are leaving one by one for their holidays and by this tuesday, almost all the 2nd years would have gone to their home and they'll be back by 12th sep.
Back in campus. One more week of classes and then the end-terms would be upon us from 21st. Juniors are busy sending out OB questionnaires for their projects, we seniors are busy rushing up on the backlog of assignments.
Day was burning hot but by night it was pouring. What a start to the week !
Back from a birthday bash at Border. Two girls desperately trying to apply cake cream on the birthday girl who sent them on a long chase in the LH road, got caught finally and got drenched by a bucket of water from another girl. After all this, another birthday girl, a junior, got a "cake facial". Funny sight, it was.
GRATIA, thanksgiving night to happen tomorrow. An event by the juniors for the seniors. Last event for this trimester, time to unwind once before the end-terms begin.

Had a great time interacting with Mr.jagganathan, consultant, National Entrepreneurship Network. The E-cell was inaugurated in the year 2010 and has been doing a great job. Especially with growing number of members in entrepreneurship-cell(E-cell), and the interest showed by the students, the E-cell is well in the right path. The session was very interactive with students asking several queries. A video of Mr.Nandan Nilekani helped us view entrepreneurship in a completely different way. Further , he also spoke about how networking would pay a major role for an entrepreneur, how NEN could act as a platform for budding entrepreneurs and topics like , peer learning, how an MBA would be able to become a successful entrepreneur, etc. Over all the session was fruitful.
good job E-cell !!!! great going!!!

hi dominic,
The ranking is prepared on various factors which does not include the quota of a batch. BIM has consistently been in the top 25 b schools in india in most of the rankings(outlook, business today, etc) and the next to iim-b and k , in south india .
Commencement of issue of application forms and online registration to begin on 01-December-2011. Further information at http://www.bim.edu/index/admission-2014.php
for further specific enquiries i suggest you to pm me. would be glad to answer your questions.

hello sarjun,
thanks for the info/link for admission.
has any thread been opened for admission like many what i have seen till now?
also,1 query pops up with the ranking which i found nowhere apart from here to ask.had BIM fallen into the cluster of 25 then it could have differed by a slight , say +5/-5 elsewhere apart from the sources you've mentioned. But here itself at pagalguy, where you guys are mostly active in this thread, how is it that it stands at 56?ain't it a huge margin?well, going by the placement scenarios that BIM's website has published, it should definitely fall into the top 25 if not the top 30s.then what is the segregating factor that have pushed it's name that far?have asked many including but not limited to the faculties of the mostly renowned age old coaching centers. They too have said that it is the quota(TN) that might have made it so.But when I asked about the quality of education provided there, which you can enlighten me even more, their prompt reply was WONDROUS!!!
Official thread for admission related queries. Kindly direct your queries there. http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/2012-2014-bimtrichy-official-thread-for-admission-related-queries-25072119/2937866
Went to NIT campus for their September fest "Festember". Watched 'Crazy' Mohan's laugh riot "Chocolate Krishna" before taking part in JAM and a Tamil crossword competition. Reminded me of my engineering days when I used to participate in such events in CEG and IIT-M. A section of us has gone there to watch the Choreo Nite. More events lined up for tomorrow and day after.
