yesterday was a management quiz contest under Tathagat...we got a huge participation from IMT G, IIFT, LBS, IMI among other colleges....it was a great learning as well as fun to attend the quiz 
and the AD eeffect was won by IMI team 
.....waitin for other events now which are lined up till next week...meanwhile got IT and accounts projects :shocked:..so need to start working on these as well...
First trimester exams have finished ...so we are 1/6 manager now
now have 3 days holiday before the new session statrs ie from monday.
pata bhi nahi chala aur 3 months are over here...
have a PG foodies meet today at CP so leaving for that @ 3...
Stepped into 2nd Trimester.... A usual day... Did not get our books today.... So no study....
We will get 'em tomorrow though....

2nd trimester started....seems to be a bit cool one....have 6 sub only
this weekend is durgapuja...and there is holiday on monday...so goin to home trimester ke start me thoda to aish kar lete hai..baad me to lagni hi hai
Today Fore Alumni Network club (we call it FAN) organized a session with some of our alumni. The agenda was to suggest first year students about the options available in the industry after various specializations and also what factors to consider while selecting specialization.
Some of the top guys from Oracle, Microsoft, HP, Nokia Siemens Networks among others visited the campus .
It was nice to hear their experiences from FORE to the position where they are right now A lot of insights in the hardcore sales profile specially A lot of issues like recession effect, profiles after MBA, whether IT or FMCG among others were discussed.
Overall an awesome session and we got some really great suggestions by our super (add as many super as u want) seniors

I completed my summer internship last Saturday. In Delhi there should be winter internships instead of summers. With temperature touching 48 degrees it became too difficult for me to commute to Noida everyday. But still I did it wo alag baat hai ki bime bhi ho gaya tha beech me
This summer internship taught me a lot of new things. Being from a hardcore technical background I had no idea about how the marketing department in an IT organization works. Got a lot of new insights and came to know what % of theory we learned in classes are really utilized
Yesterday I went to college after almost 2 months. It felt great to be back at campus once again. Went to library to do some project report work. This project report is also a big task yaar 😞 pata nahi kab khatam hoga...
In between CGPA were also declared...and mine one went into recession...touching a new lows...but main to is moh maya se bahut upar uth chuka hu ab 
on 2nd I m leaving for Pune...will met some old pals and then back to home for my sis marriage...a lot of planned events this vacation...
College is going to reopen on 22nd June...till then full masti. and yaa our juniors are joining on 21st June. So getting ready for ragging..errrrr....introductions as well 
Now onwards will try to be a regular on this thread.

Main to library tab jaata tha jab hostel mein bahut garmi lagti thi And project report banane mein jyaada time nahi lagta, na hi jyaada time lagane ke kuch khaas faayda hai, unless you want to get something out of it :)As I have seen so far, the CGPA of regular puys is permanently in recessionary mode :-P Hope puys aren't discouraged to use PG after joining a B-school 😐 CGPA to utna matter bhi nahi karta in the long run :)

Ma first day of college after summers internship :)
Feels gud to see juniors at the campus although haven't interacted with any of them except my new roommate in hostel So formal as well as informal interaction is remaining...
The classes are now of 90 mins instead of 75 min 😞 chalo acha hai no of classes will come down from 24 to 20..waise bhi class me padta kaun hai
one more relief is classes are not continuous as were in 1st year...all thanks to electives

It was 1st class 2day in orientation program n dat was of accounts taken by vkd sir..it was tough for me to undrstnd sum terms as i am frm engg bckground stil it was a gr8 sesion..lets c wat hapens 2mrw.
First 3 days into the FORE life...It looks OK as of now..
Monday was just the boring induction ceremony for which we waited almost 2 hours in the big audi for the chief guest and others to come, and then finally when it was done with I was more or less still at ground zero itself.
Tuesday again another boring session where in all the area chairpersons from the diff specializations and the respective staff came in and gave intros and spoke and took questions about the respective areas marketing, finance, HR, Operations, IT. Then a session on Management Accounting or MANAC in the afternoon by Prof. Vinay Dutta which was simple and understandable but also happening (He seemed to have been in very bad mood. Chucked out 2-3 who came in late and was reprieving us for every small thing)
Wednesday again 3 sessions on Business Communication, Quantitative Techniques and MANAC. BC was taken up by Dr. Anita T Lal and was full of zeal and energy and activities like the Chinese whisper game etc. QT by Prof. Neeta Gupta was simple and understandable with concepts like mean, median, mode, SD, variance etc being discussed. And the last one MANAC by Dr. Kanhaiya Singh was fully unorganized and confusing. No basics touched upon and then the whole session was taken under the assumption that we knew a lot of the stuff, which was not the case. Credit, Debit, Balance Sheet, Ledger, Journal entries all went by in a blur and hence we ended up back at square one, with nothing gained out of the 1.5 hrs!! Will need to go thru the books now to make head or tail of it. Btw got the first set of books of Term I - 4 of them. Marketing, Organizational behavior, Economics and Intro to Management Science-QT for decision making.
So the grind of MBA begins!! Now its 2 years to the finish line.
2 more days passed with nothing much happening. The morning trudge to college more than half a km away from hostel and that too in the searing sun. 😞 😞 Then some boring lectures spent half asleep, few interesting ones and the day is over. Back to our abodes, the hostel and then FB/orkut, reading (academic/non-academic)or watching some movie. That summarizes the day. 
But gonna be a completely different picture next week onwards I bliv. We've been assigned our sections (there are 3 in FMG with 60 in each and I'm in section B, Roll no 1!! 
), got 4-5 books of the 1st term, got the first case study in Marketing to read over the weekend and Term I begins in full swing on Wednesday. One of the many assignments to come in a very busy and hectic schedule of assignments, case studies, quiz etc for the term and further. 
In between, first weekend after joining FORE. No idea as of now what to do. Maybe would explore Delhi a bit, check out the malls or just take a stroll around the area OR maybe even go out for a movie. Or nothing of all this, just stay back at hostel and read (now don't ask me what 
coz I have no idea, maybe studies also!! ;))!!! Dekhthe hai abhi, will decide as per mood. 😃 :)
A little respite from the hot sun since yesterday bcoz of slight rains and drop in temperature. 
God knows how long its gonna last.

This is my first post here after coming to Delhi.First of all thanks to try4it for all the help on PG.

The first thing I noticed at FORE during our induction and the ongoing induction period is the quality of the faculty.Most of them are excellent and are quite motivating in nature.All of them gave us a hearty warm 
: and also stressed a lot on discipline 
. Specially the finance faculty looked very impressive along with Business Communication.
Speaking of seniors:
Already realized they are very helpful,still answering all our queries here.Thoda intro bhi liya hum logo ka hostel mein lekin woh sab to chalta hai.
Hostel:
Hostel life is great people.We are not having any study load at this moment so just enjoying the beginning.Internet connection is ok and affordable, not bad even for people who download regularly.Food is a bit boring,at least for me,but one has to manage.
Thats all for now will post my experience again.
Hoping to hear a lot more from others.

as far as our routine is concerned, we are a bit busy now a days...classes from 9 to 7:45 but faculties are gr8 in this trimester so maja bhi aa raha hai ....itne sare juniors ko hostel me dekh ke informal intro lena padega aisa lag raha hai abhi
Shounak: being ur seniors, I feel it's our responsibility to help u out guys ...I wish u all a very successful career and 2 memorable years at FORE 😃

Now the real journey begins from tomorrow...i.e. our 1st trimester begins....

Ab aayega asli maja jab assignments and projects milenge
lagta hai is baar sare juniors bahut padekau aaye hai...sab classes me hi rehte hai...koi bahar dikhta hi nahi...so boring
joeks apart...this time some new subjects have been introduced to both FMG and IMG courses...also the no of sub have been increased...so expect a bit hectic schedule now :)
And I think most of you must be waiting for freshers welcome party...it's on 17th July
