but, this happiness comes to an end as soon as I realize that my MBA life, which was the best academic time I have ever had, has also come to an end. I learnt the skills which people call Management Skills, made my entry to Deloitte, did a number of projects and assignments.. in short a life time learning...
But, apart from this, I made some true friends in these 2 years... and its now time to leave each others hand to start our career in different organizations. Though we all have an excitement for the new CORPORATE LIFE, but, we all gonna miss our college days a lot...
Seriously...
:) m gonna miss this place...
m gonna miss my COLLEGE DAYS...

Hey from today I got free.......
All my exams are over. No tension of studies, exams, etc. but above all I am going to miss my college life as a lot things are linked to FIIB like my friends, learnings, studies, excellent faculty and also my first job, as I got the placement from the campus. So this college is very close to my heart....
I am going to miss you all a lot.
Hii Ashutosh.. placement at FIIB is really good.
This year placement of the batch 2010-12 have been great so far.
Students have been placed in companies like- Future Group , HCL , Federal Bank , IDBI Bank, Capital IQ, Deloitte, American Express, Safexpress, IIFL, Ernst & Young, Radio Mantra, Siesta Group, Healthkart and many more similar companies. Still companies are coming in the campus like Flood as Balaji Telefilms, Yes Bank, Amar Ujala, India bulls, Accenture & many more.
Two years back, I had a dream. At that time I had no idea how to pursuit my dream and from where I have to start. FIIB has given me the roadmap to follow my dream.
My life at FIIB was full of fun, learning and practicing what is been learnt. My faculty Mentors have always taken the initiative to take the learning outside the classroom. As a student, I was amazed with the kind of industry experience our faculty had.
We had regular CEO talks from top companies of India and I believe it has helped me to understand the reality of corporate. Various clubs and committees at FIIB which are student driven have helped the students to improve and prepare themselves for tomorrow.
I am really thankful to all my faculty mentors and especially Prof. Santosh Sood for their immense support.
I am sure you are going to see a sea change in you after completing your Two years at FIIB.
Hi all
I am Vinayak Pant - a student of batch 2010-12 at FIIB... just gave my final exam and hence am going to talk about life in this college with utmost candor.
Back when I was looking for a B-School in Delhi (I had some personal reasons to do be in Delhi only), and did not want to drop a year, I explored several options like MDI, Fore, IMI etc.
My CAT results weren't too good (75%ish) and with that MDI was ruled out. So below MDI, my well wishers told me that there are two types of colleges - those who teach something, and those who don't. FIIB, Fore, Asia Pacific and similar names were suggested to me and hence I started exploring them.
My reasons for selecting FIIB were rather simple -
1. I cracked the interview
2. During admissions, the fee that they charged (aside from the admission form fee of a nominal 100-ish Rs.) was fully refundable if you did not join.
3. Ultimately decided to join as it was nearest to my house so I'd waste the least time on road (I was involved with some entrepreneurial ventures while studying).
I figured that if I don't like it, I'll just not join - and at the same time was impressed by the quality of GDs and the PI. The teachers seemed impressive on paper and when I interacted with them - I was absolutely stunned in a good way. Unlike some other places, the teachers here command respect from the knowledge they possess and experiences that they share.
During my next two years, apart from studies (which were great indeed), I was given opportunities to:
1. Start a new club - the Strategy Club @ FIIB
2. Compete in sports and game competitions like cricket, carrom, TT, badminton, pool, chess etc.
3. Compete in various competitions like quizzes, B-plan competitions etc. in other colleges.
4. Organize sub-events in various events and given the chance to organize whole events
5. Interact with foreign delegations from places like University of Arkansas, Chinese consulate, Swedish delegation etc.
Won some, lost some - but point being - there was no lack of opportunities whatsoever. In fact, some competitions that FIIB conducted attracted competition from IIMs as well - we had the chance to go up against the so called very best, and the so called very best only come to places that they think are worth competing with... they think we are!
I made lasting friendships with both students and teachers, that I don't think can ever end.
We were also sponsored to be a part of Toastmasters International - toastmasters" rel="nofollow">toastmasters">www.toastmasters.org/
A non-profit organization developing public speaking and leadership skills through practice and feedback in local clubs since 1924.
All in all - this institution cares about its students - which is something that lets us learn more than we ever expected to learn from a relatively unheard of college.
I think FIIB is an unmilked cow and will grow on to become bigger due to its values and commitment to students. I would recommend this institution as a plausible option to anyone who can't get in the IIMs of the country for the simple reason that this place ROCKS!!!
Joining this place is a decision that is yours to make and not mine - but I would just like to strongly urge you guys to come and visit FIIB before making a decision :)
Cheers,
Vinayak :)
Another testament to the high-quality education provided at FIIB - 'Dainik Bhaskar Lakshya' Magazine (April12 Issue) has ranked FIIB 9th among the leading 50 Private B-Schools in India. http://on.fb.me/I05yj1
i'm going to join FIIb from june hope will have same experience 😃
I am Jaspreet Singh - a student of batch 2010-12 at FIIB... just gave my final exam and hence am going to talk about life in this college with utmost candor.
Back when I was looking for a B-School in Delhi (I had some personal reasons to do be in Delhi only)
My CAT results weren't too good (70%ish). So the top colleges were ruled out. Now the decision rested on the a simple question - Am i going to do MBA just for the sake of it Or am i actually going to learn something and apply it during the course time so that i can be ready for the Industry. Hence i started to explore;
My reasons for selecting FIIB were rather simple -
1. I cracked the interview
2. Highly impressed by the Faculty
3. Distance from Home ( did not want to waste time traveling the city and being stuck in traffic jams)
After i cracked my GD and PI , I inquired about the faculty. And i was amazed at the quality FIIB has. Starting from finance- Mr. Roy (an expert who has served SBI for 35 years), Marketing- Mr. Sood (Branding and product launch genius), Case Analysis and HR- Mr.Hari Parmeshwar (Industrial relations expert) and many more. Furthermore the choices available in second year for a double major and certain unique subjects which will give an edge in the industry as well.
During my next two years, apart from studies (which were great indeed), I was given opportunities to:
1. Co- Head the sports committee of the college
2. Compete in sports and game competitions like Football, Cricket and Badminton.
3. Compete in various competitions like quizzes, Ad Mad, Sports etc. in other colleges.
4. Interact with foreign delegations from places like University of Arkansas, , Swedish delegation etc.
(The interaction with students from USA and Sweden helped us to develop a global perspective and also understand their culture and at the same time see the difference and even similarities in values and habits)
5. Organize sub-events in various events and given the chance to organize whole events at the Annual fest SAMAVESH 2012
Won most of them, lost some - but point being - there was no lack of opportunities whatsoever. In fact being given an opportunity to rub shoulders with elite B schools such as Fore, IIM and even MDI was a great experience . The learning's from these competition in terms of strategy and business is something i am grateful for to FIIB
I made lasting friendships with both students and teachers, that I don't think can ever end.
We were also sponsored to be a part of Toastmasters International - www.toastmasters.org/
A non-profit organization developing public speaking and leadership skills through practice and feedback in local clubs since 1924.
Toastmasters hepled me a lot in improving speech skills and even listening skills. The art of evaluation requires us to be great listeners and a good critique at the same time. Furthermore certain students of our college went on to represent our club at the Are level and division level. We hope to cross over to district level in the coming year.
The institution provides you with opportunities and if you seize them , you will see a change in yourself at the end of 2 years. It not only provides you with academic knowledge but also leadership through its various clubs and in campus activities throughout the year. This is something which is a lot spoken at other colleges but never practiced. FIIB is fully supportive and gives you that chance.
I think FIIB is an unmilked cow and will grow on to become bigger due to its values and commitment to students.
Joining this place is a decision that is yours to make and not mine - but I would just like to strongly urge you guys to come and visit FIIB before making a decision

Jaspreet Singh
Every moment spent @ FIIB has been unique and different. There have been a variety of faculty and friends who I have come in contact with and all of them taught me different things which would stay on as wonderful memories with me. FIIB provides a platform to everyone to reach a level which they have not previously attained so it depends on the individual of what to make of it.
Hi all
I am Aditya Jain - a student of batch 2010-12 at FIIB with a dual specialization in marketing & finance and an engineer as well...
After my engineering I wanted to go to a top B-school like many others (no harm in that) so dropped a year for that as well. However, results were just short of ground approx (85%) and I was sad & frustrated. But life goes on (in short) and so I explored my options on the basis of the familiar criteria below:
1. Proximity
2. Library
3. Faculty
4. Curriculum
5. Environment
5. Industry interaction
I found to my wonder that FIIB was considerably well placed among its peers in all these aspects and decided to join it very soon.Right from the induction program till date I feel that the faculty which I had, imparted me with the best skills they could as per the industry and their knowledge and experience for which they are acclaimed. The schedule for me was tight as although I considered proximity but even then FIIB was very far (given the place of my residence) and the classes went on for the full day. I tried to enjoy the pressure I was put through else life would be difficult and for this I believed within that you would be transformed once this is over which has now become true in essence.
I inquisitively followed my faculty throughout the course and excelled in studies in their guidance.
As an individual I work on a continuous improvement mode and do it wholesomely so I did a lot of extra-curricular activities both on campus and off campus i.e on record and off record. On campus I was given various opportunities to:
1. Start a club - the FSE (Finance) Club @ FIIB
2. Compete in sports and game competitions like cricket, carrom, TT, badminton, pool, chess etc.
3. Compete in various competitions like quizzes, creative writing, elocution etc
4. Organize various events in the fests and apart from that seminars / conclaves
5. Interact with foreign delegations from places like University of Arkansas, Swedish delegation etc.
6. Interact with industry stalwarts and managers through VFTT and routine guest lectures and privileged ones as a FLP (FIIB leadership) student
7. As a FLP student I was also sponsored to be a part of Toastmasters International - a renowned organisation in public speaking & leadership to enhance my communication skills which i believe is most essential as an MBA.
Outside campus have participated in a diverse set of events including AD-MAD shows, quizzes (marketing, finance,IT,business), simulation games, case studies, portfolio events etc...
The support that the faculty and staff have shown throughout is commendable and this applies even to the top management which empathizes very deeply with all the students and cares for them very lovingly and motivates them by giving opportunities to achieve higher levels of success in their growth paths. FIIB is like a family closely bonded in various ways wherein even if you have separated you are connected nonetheless. It is an institution committed to values and its students and with the positive retrospective changes it is taking in its leap forward it will grow into a formidable force. It is a place where everything occurs in due course in a holistic way so that diversity is acknowledged.
Lastly I would say that in these years I have spent here and through all these activities I have done I learnt a lot and that is the decision I had made two years ago in anticipation.
Joining this place at the end is a decision that is completely yours to make and not mine - but I would just like to strongly urge you guys to come and visit FIIB before making a decision and try to set out your priorities for the same for ease
Cheers,
Aditya :grin::grin::):)
FIIB recently organized an industrial visit to DHL, one of the largest logistics 3PL, warehousing facility in Haryana. This trip is a reflection of FIIB's overarching commitment to the application of theoretical concepts to real-life situations, wherein students are introduced to fundamental concepts and techniques in classroom, provided opportunities to apply this learning through additional discussions, corporate visits, projects, and interactions with industry leaders. Some other recent industry visits include: Yakult (Sonipat); Infosys (Bangalore); Bisleri and UPL (Mumbai); Metso, Demola and Nokia (Finland).
Prof. Ashish Negi shares the details of the trip in his blogpost: Putting MBA Theory into Context Fortune Institute Of International Business
FIIB is proud to share that two of its students, Afzal Alam (Batch 2010-12) and Abhik Shome (Batch 2011-13) have brought honor to the Institute, by securing a position (2nd and 3rd place respectively) in the International Speech Contest held at South Delhi Toastmasters on 5th April 2012. Afzal and Abhik were representing the CUE Club at FIIB, a charter club under Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization set up with the mandate to develop communication & leadership skills of its members.
With a strong belief in the Toastmaster principles and methods, FIIB was the first B-School in India to charter 3 Toastmasters Club in less than a year. Its students have won laurels in other public speaking forums as well. Afzal advances to the Division Level Contest to be held on 14th April. Good luck Afzal and well done Abhik!
