The payment for the Goa form has been made twice by me. I made the payment at the coachin centre.. one of my frends whom I advised to make the payment for me, he also made the payment simultaneously ignorant of the fact that I paid it already..
now is ther any way through which I can get the refund.. well no hopes still...
I have mailed to admissions already and awaiting response..

A quick update here, I have talked to the right people and looks like the amount shall be refunded. They have received your mail, but try and provide them with the receipts and where did you make the two payments. You are also requested to contact Ms. Jennifer at 0832-2490304 ASAP. I wish you luck and do let us know if the issue was resolved to your satisfaction.

I remember how much I was helped last year by the seniors of various B-schools on PagalGuy and that ultimately helped me to take a call. Its time for us to pay back in whatever little way we can. Keep queries pouring in, its our pleasure to address them. Cheers

The Talk was only for 30 min followed by 45 min Q&A; session, as Mr Hussain preffered to have an interactive session In short, a nice insights into the corporate world by a person who has been there in tht world for more than 40 yrs regds

Indeed.. very insightful talk..... views of Mr. Hussain were very enlightning specially on issues like CSR and business ethics. but how come there is no mention of the awesome party organized by our very own RazzMataz.... Had the party at Pharows Den.. A pub near calangute.. (Actually its candolim) As usual, it was a rockin success. These people have mastered art of organizing successful parties. looks like Junior Core committee have picked up the baton from senior core committee really well. So is true about most of the clubs.
Adding to the party and ribandar talks events this week..even weekend was unique. It showed the real bond of GIM family. We had our super-super-super...seniors coming to the campus. They helped PGP2 to gear up for the placements. All the Do's and Don'ts listed down and each of them was scrutinized during all the mock interviews. The results - The whole new geared up PGP2 for the placements... The heat in the campus is increasing. Each senior has a question in eyes will i?? When and where will i??
Even the PGP1s got flavour of the alumni's experience. We had nice inputs given by them for the summers.
And now the whole campus buzzing up. The only topic being discussed - placements. Best of luck Seniors. U r the best.
The weekend showed the bond in GIM family. Even after flowing into the corporate world alumnis came down for the newbies in the family 😃 . Kudos to them. Thank you very much .
And now PGP1 busy with the hectic term end schedule 😞

Ishaat Hussain has a cult status here in Tata. He is a rock star! And having ppl like him and K R Gopalakrishnan associated with GIM - it's a special bond between the Tatas and GIM. Atleast the two organizations have one very big common virtue - uncompromising ethical and moral standards!
Lots happening on the Retail front in India as so also in GIM
Mr. Shailendra Tyagi,Head of Rural Marketing & Retailing,ITC visited GIM to speak about the ITC's Retail business. Mr.Tyagi showed how Rural Retail is different form Urban Retail and the challenges in reaching the customer at that level. He then shared with the students ITC's E Chaupal intitative; ITC's Sagar Choupal Retail Business which is changing the face of rural retail shopping. He also shared with the students the new format of ITC Sagar Fresh which is an Urban store of ITC. With Retail industry being one of the dynamic & sought after sector for MBA's his talk definately helped in better understanding of the Retail business.
A lot has happened over the past few days here in GIM! My batchmates have been updating you all on that. But there has been a lot more which has been happening outside the institute in Goa!
In addition to the official GIM party :drinking:organised by Razzmattazz at Pharo's Den, near the Fort Aguada and quiet Calangute beach, we have been witness to lots of parties across Goa! As the tourist season has started, it only gets better from here. Already the shacks are up at most of the beaches and the shores are inundated with the restaurants. The restaurants in Goa are something really unique! Perhaps Goa is home to the highest number of restaurants and discs in India. At least from the looks of it, one can easily sense that! Since most of the clientele here consists of foreigners, even the most affordable of places here ensure that they do NOT compromise on quality. Almost all the clubs organise Christmas and New Year parties in a grand way and GIM students have the privilege to visit them most of the times!
Thousands congregated in the pandal outside the Basilica of Bom Jesus to pay homage to Goencho Saib at the feast of St. Xavier yesterday. Lots of GIMites were witness to the mass in which the Bishop of Pune appealed masses to give a permanent holiday to corruption, greed, unforgiveness and compromising on the values of Jesus Christ. The 38th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is on at INOX and Kala academy and even without Amitabh Bachchan, is attracting a lot of delegates! Many many international delegates and hoards of media can be spotted outside INOX these days. Kingfisher has set up a Village at IFFI. Mr. Mallya has a long and old association with Goa and his yatch can be seen here these days. Amazing Yatch I must say! I was roaming around one particular day and saw a huge palace on the road... guess what.??? It was the Kingfisher Villa!! Took a lot of pics there! :)
The watersports meanwhile are on across Goa and GIMites have had the chance to take a dip in the arabian sea with scooter rides, banana rides, motor rides and what not!!!
(Now where did the studies go??? )
Unfortunately, as they say, . . they are here to stay!!! ??: 😞
We've been burdened with on an average 2-3 presentations per day this week, lots of quizzes and regular classes alongside! Clubs are there usual self and talks of the next conference are already in the air! People have taken projects from reputed companies and the seniors as well as juniors are preparing for the placements week! And .. ohh did I forget? We have our end terms beginning this 10th!!!
Ye sab kya ho raha hai guyzzzz???? Koi hamein roko!!!! :sneaky::sly:
As the year end comes close, so does the end of term 2. And in the confines of our hostel rooms, as we read news reports of students aspiring to join B-schools, persue MBA, join the league of all great managers, it gives rise to a feeling of nostalgia in us. A year back, we too were on the same pedestal, as are thousands of young students aspiring for an MBA. We too were confused as to what colleges to apply for, we too were feeling distraught and helpless as competition increased and the exams closed in on us, one after the other. We too, were apprehensive about our future. Today, when I look behind to those days, I feel proud of what I have acheived. Getting into any B-school is no mean feat, more so when its among the top B-schools of the country. And it makes me more proud, (I am sure my fellow batchmates do share this feeling with me), when I think of what we shall achieve in the coming months right here, in this very temple of excellence that it is home to us for the next year and a half. We may not follow the same path that our seniors took, but we shall certainly take a page from their life at GIM - a drive towards excellence. We shall reach great heights, and with us, we shall take along our institution to greater heights. The journey has already begun! :)
Hi Guys, Just wanted to wish everyone from teh 2006-2008 batch teh very best for placement....I am sure you guys will break all teh existing records and get plaed in record time !!!!!!!!! Tapan bhai jaise log Plac Committee mein ho toh no worries!!!!!!!!!!!11
One last time, they leave for home, for their term breaks. One last term break...before their new journey begins. Our seniors have done us and our college proud time and again. And it showed again over the results of the past few days. And yes, there was that much deserved celebrations. :drinking:
As we count the days now, when we shall carry foward their good work, we also count the few days few moments that we are left with to share with them in this beautiful campus of ours. As the time of parting comes close, we wish them all happiness for their future.
But not without a tear in our eyes. We will miss you seniors! :(
You are a legacy we cannot forget. Way to go PGP2!!!
