Professor Ranjan Ghosh taught his last class at IIMC today. He was handling Risk Management for us in Term-2. A perfectly nice human being and I haven't seen him raise his voice once. You guys will love him. Congrats GIM, you've got a great man!

Hey CS,
Thanks so so much for the post ! It indeed is a privilege to know him and to be a student of his. I somehow am one of those lucky ones who got to know him personally as well as he was a speaker at our recently concluded conference on Logistics held in september !
And i am sure that he is going to bring laurels to GIM as well !
Hi ,
Its been 5 months since I came to GIM ... and really have no clue as to how can months go by so quickly ... My 2nd term ends on the 21st .. have exams with the placement week sandwiched .. should be an awesome pressure cooker experience .. looking forward to enjoying every bit of it .Somehow I start the post with an intention of making a detailed post .. but something or the other crops up ... Will post more in coming days

A silence on this thread suggests that a lot has been happening on campus. Yes, end terms nearing ! Project Report Submissions and lot of presentations. But most important of all, Placement Week or i should say "The Placement Day" round the corner.
Being here, i really feel relieved of all these tensions.. But can feel what it takes to be in such a position. Heres wishing all of my mates a wonderful time with the End Terms and more importantly with Placements. Make sure that Placement Celebrations are as festive as that of Christmas and new year of Goa! :
Finally, my term at UA also comes to an end today and i rush home tomorrow nite. See you guys at GIM around Christmas.
India Calling !

Unlike last trimester , got to spend a whole 6 hours at the beach , swimming et al .. and dared to think that this trimester is going to be slightly lighter in terms of the work load ... and I have never been more wrong in my whole life ... I am piled up with work ... and I am loving every bit of it .... beating every deadline ... just amazing how well we work against deadlines ...
Have learnt one thing and implementing it .. dont worry be happy .... everythings possible ... when u are in trouble and u worry u make it double ... Lines from bob marley

The weather outside has became chilling, but inside the hostel its really hot..!!Five exams in 2 days, what else can be more demanding???
Feeling exhausted after two itself, still 3 more to go,but thatz what a life of manager is...ability to deliver in the toughest of times...!!
Best of luck to all for the remaining ones..
Hi,
The campus is buzzing with activity, as the placement season is just round the corner, Its such an exhilirating experience , drawing up plans , organising things , working in crossfunctional teams . Planning the nitty gritties. I was so overwhelmed at the whole energy level at the campus that I couldnt escape unscathed:).
Its so amazing what all we get to learn and do in an MBA , and what all we can do .. the possibilities are endless ..
Have to get back to work ..

Yes,it was great to have the PG team here on campus, and the first article of the anatomy sequel is really a depth description of what it takes to run the process..!!
Besties,
Posting after a long time. It was so nice to be back in GIM watching people getting their dreams fulfilled. PGP1 helped getting all of us placed and must say it was a 'mission accompolished' by PGP1. And accompolished beautifully!
Just woke up.. will be going to the old Ritz now for some fish curry rice and crab masala with Kingfisher.. God we love Goa so much... don't want to leave it!
After a small break for the placement week , its end terms again .. so back to books ...the end terms end on the 21st and we are then headed home, will be back on new years .... It is going to be a real party this new years with all the seniors giving us the juniors a treat
looking forward to it

They say Placements is the festive season for any B School, and with the current boom in the economy the soaring placements call for a party and an afterparty.
With Placements over and we guys starting the last term, the smallest of all (lasts only 9 weeks), the stage has been all set for parties, afterparties and after after parties. Thanks to Christmas, new year, Goa and
Myself just back from the exchange programme and looks like Europe has travelled with me to the city. Its all happening out here at the western coast and admist classes, we are taking most of the time to hit the beaches. For the first time, all the theories have been put in practise in the same time. Right from the 4 Fs to the 3 Bs to what not.
Temperature is soaring high out here for all the natural and unnatural reasons. :)
Time for me to call off the post and sink in the sand and get a Tan !

Can't believe someone can enjoy life in Goa so much without Booze and without sea-food!
Ullu_Ka_Pattha SaysCan't believe someone can enjoy life in Goa so much without Booze and without sea-food!
Very true... A genuine doubt ! But then do not forget the Fourth F and the Third B. They make up for all thats lost in the other ones...!
Waise, i am sure the Hyderabadi Briyani is not helping you enough to make up for the fun lost here.. So, hit the sand soon bauji !
