See when u r at GIM u tend to be late at posting your daily activities on social network . For some of you it may be terrible but u have to live with that. I happened to be an unusual idiot who was no where in social networking , I have totally changed . At GIM according to one of our elite members, students never study , they think books are their liability , partying hard is a hard earned asset ( non current ) . Your personal balance sheet is full of ...................... ( fill in whatever u dream of , use ur Imagination ) . Studying here comes second , night out at aunty maria , Nescafe sometimes curlies , daunapola and etc are our priorities .
A typical day at GIM begins after the alarm has been snoozed at least ten times and the realization of the number of assignments to be completed dawns. It is 7 and one cannot sleep further anyway because the football aficionados start their daily game and every goal is a natural alarm for every one sleeping. Then the journey of completing all the submissions begins and I must tell you, a submission is never fully complete until the last minute; however, a lot more time goes into thinking what exactly is to be done with assignment. By the time a student figures out what is to be done, it is time for dinner. Dinner time; very important for checking everyone else's progress with the assignment. There the decision is made to complete all the assignments by midnight, then read for the perpetual classes and sleep by 1. A decision which is never abided by. Because it is in between this process of completion of projects, where the real life of a GIM student lies; gales of laughter and myriad memories, insane talks and birthday celebrations, music from all over India and movie screenings. So the typical sleeping time is 3. The next day, early morning is when every second counts, in the pursuit of reaching the class before 9. Mornings at GIM, Ribander are beautiful and take away all the weariness as you get to see the reflection of morning sun in Mandovi River. The classes stretch up to 5 in the evening, after which most students submit to sleep. And that marks the end of the day. 😃

This is apart from the Part A , B , C ............... posts , as i'm officially on leave.
It's awesome , to be at home , enjoying the warmth of the place and the most important thing living ur life on ur terms at least for a week or so . Otherwise if i recall towards the end of any term we are so stressed up , lots of submissions along with addition of new chapters to the syllabus at the last moment definitely make the terms more interesting & horrible . Thanks to God there are midnight coffee shops at Goa otherwise we would have been a batch of mental patients crying for anything & everything barring studies .
Well , fellas I guess you all will be ready with ur bags packed and all formalities done. I am sure you guys will be looking forward to study no matter whatever your seniors tell you to do otherwise. I would like to throw some insight what you could do otherwise if you wish to enjoy Goa rather than be upright in your room and think about the test the next day. Believe me i have been to cafes, pubs and other interesting destinations just before the exams and its fun to enjoy before any such serious academic melodramas. This is only a part of life at a Ribandar and there are a lot of things to it. There is no shortcut to success and definitely there is no shortcut to enjoyments and you need not to choose anyone from these both. You will all have fun as well as equally good academic performance only when you start taking things as they come in your way and start putting in efforts to improve your current status.
These few days before you finally be a part of GIM , i will be making it sure you guys are eager to find out more about ur campus and the amazing life surrounding it.😁😁😁

You might have heard this song , OO Janejana , my point being the very first lines : Na koi Manjil Hai , Na koi saathi hai ,phir bhi nikal pada hoon gharse .... saayad jiski talaash hai wohi saathi hai wohi manjil hai . Now please don't go to a romantic mood you will get enough time in the college or rather in Goa to have your romantic side bloom. These were the very lines which inspired me here and see i am writing things. Ooh i forgot to mention writing and reading are the last thing on earth i would have done before coming to college. I used to be terribly bad at it and even now i feel the same so please bear with me.
The jist of the things above is your life here will give ample opportunities to discover the new you or the abilities you discarded by saying i am not good at it. Feel free, feel relaxed , do whatever your heart says you to , follow the path which you want to be your destiny is what is taught here. Its not about the 20 sessions core lectures or the 10 sessions non credit lecture each , its about your Will to do things differently which matters. I have been in GIM for a year and i realised there is more to me and there is not much time for me to explore all of them, does that mean i will stop trying. Well it has always been us, the choice is all ours. I urge you all to put a different logic to study, try to learn things beyond your studies, try to look into life and find out what you need from it and leave the rest on this great place GIM. The serene climate, the tempting waters of Mandovi, the silence of the ferry travels across Mandovi at late hours, old architecture of your college will help you calm your senses.
