From 150 teams who had applied, team Agrisolutions was among those who were shortlisted for the final round. Now they fly to HAAS, Berkeley. This makes them first among the patriots to go abroad. The hopes are high and we have full faith in the team that they can repeat the feat of our seniors from the champions batch Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai (India)

desperately pagal...ver 1.2 ... DP is becoming quite a brand i must say ;)
lets see...gladiators...
Yes Pushkar, DP was a brand in himself and his tradition will be carried forward by another guy from the same committee 😃
Update:
The First Midterm is starting from today and Accounts being the first paper is making us more jittery. But since we had a gem of a Proffessor for Accounting who has already turned the tide in favor of Finance in many doubtful minds, Gladiators are ready to fight the battle.
Yours Truely hasn't studied much and is banking on luck today :P
Yesterday we had Dr. Jitendra Singh from Whartion delivering a lecture on the Indian Business model. It was an enriching experience and the details will be posted soon by the BPR guys.

Proff Paul is all set to return back to Great Lakes later this year to take classes on Strategic Marketing.

Professor Yadav topic of discussion at Great Lakes was Managing Innovation through the exponential times.
More details along with the video footage of the session would be posted on the Great Lakes website soon.

And today we celebrated Founders day. It was the birthday of Dr. Bala .V. Balachandran, Founder and Dean, Great Lakes. At 73, he is as young as ever. It was quite nice to see all the students celebrating the event. Singing screaming and having fun. Uncle Bala, as he is fondly called, cut the cake, distributed sweets and we all sang for him. Put aside the MBA and all those things, what Uncle Bala has given us is a spirit of a fighter. It is not that he didnt have problems, the way he pushed his way forward through all of that is a true learning for all. The only time I have seen him sad is when he talks about Prof, C.K. Prahalad who passed away recently. I don't think he has quite come out of the shock of losing a good friend. Anyways ...
Classes have been given a breather for this week. There is only tolerable assignments. But somehow it gives me the eerie feeling that this is an eye of the storm and everything will come again like a storm. Just holding our breath. If I would want anything to change in Great Lakes, it would be the timing of the guest lecturers that come in from the industry. Yesterday we had Mr. Jamshyd Godrej speaking to us and today we had a test. But we really cant do anything much about the schedules of these industry leaders. Its a good experience though. Deep inside your heart, you want to listen and admire these people who have achieved almost everything in life. But your brain is being fried thinking about next days exams. Its kinda fun. What it has done is make us insensitive to difficult situations. Just see it as another event.
Now everyone has started playing different games. Football, volleyball, basketball and TT are the top games. Counterstrike has its regular followers. Volleyball is played in a very serious way here. Whew, so much temper and name calling. Nobody plays spoil sport in volleyball. You will get the stares. There is a good gym up there. I am a real anti gym guy. Gym is not my cup of cake. The only time I have entered the gym is to complete one of the assignments since the AC was running on and was too lazy to go back to my room.
Enjoy.

We are delighted to share with you all, two great developments which took place in Great Lakes today.
1. We just received the communication of AICTE approval for our PGPM and PGXPM courses. This makes Great Lakes PGPM the first AICTE approved One Year MBA in India.
2. We have officially been awarded Platinum Rating as a green campus (the first of its kind). This makes us one of the greenest campuses in India.
