 The students of Kautilya Batch 2018-2020 (PGDM Operations And SCM & IT and Analytics) had industrial visit on 25th Aug’18, Saturday at Parle-G plant ,Khapoli. 

 Four professors, Prof. Kalpana Kumaran, Prof. Yogita Rawat, Prof. Pushpendu Rakshit and Prof. Gayatri Kapale accompanied 63 students in the visit. Upon reaching the site, the Parle Team gave heart bound welcome and briefed us about the company and then students saw one animated video which contained all the details of the processes in bits and pieces. Students learnt about Production capacity, automation, scheduling mechanism, special purpose microprocessors and different packaging mechanism. It was a good experience to visit such a factory with best of the automation and operation practices. 

 The Vighanharta has arrived in ITM. ITM brings bappa home with dhol n drums. Students and faculities can't resist the beats. Its time to say "Ganpati Bappa Morya".  

 In any festival season Celebration as well as environment protection goes hand in hand which is why this ganesh utsav eco club members of ITM along with bappa have decided to create a positive impact by spreading awareness on environment protection. 

 Students of PGDM-HR (2018-20) had a guest lecture with Mr. Pankaj Kale (Founder and owner of Digital Market Champs training Institute and wassup Mumbai- Micro) at ITM Business School, Kharghar.
He discussed on the most interesting topic of “Digitization of HR” under which he discussed on relationship building, growth of digital media, HR Evolution etc. He also highlighted on various elements of HR Analytics and spoke on the difference between HR and AI. He also highlighted various technological advancements that has led to the changing role of HRM in the current scenario. 

 The department of Marketing conducted session #4 of the ‘Expert Talk’ series. The speaker was M.Surabhi, senior brand services manager at PointNine Lintas, Mumbai. The session started with the basics of knowing digital marketing. Decoding the digital market platforms is very important in promoting a brand among the targeted segments. The speaker generously gave examples and case studies for the students to understand how ideas and insights are two phases of the same objective. Overall, it was a very interactive and informative session as it actively involved students to catch the insights and ideas behind one of the biggest campaigns in the ad industry .

 It takes time and practice to become an expert in any art. As the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi is going on, ITM students tried to put together some of the simple and quick Ganpati rangoli designs, Here are some rangoli being made with special colours with unique Rangoli designs based on theme.

 Being part of the business world doesn't mean we have to forget our culture and traditions. It's Ganesh Chaturthi and Traditional day in ITM. Colourful traditional clothing changed the look of the B-school today.  

 The peace a person feels will praying to his Lord is not possible to be expressed in words.The Aarti of Vighnaharta in Itm felt no less than the Aarti at Ganga Ghat. 

 

Marketing department organized a guest lecture,. Speaker Mr. Sarvesh K Gupta, Sr. Manager Manikaran Solar Limited, addressed the students about the career opportunities in power sector, how the Industry works, Tactics of B2B Sales and soft skills required for CEO level meets. 

 "ITM Warriors on a clean and green mission, ITM Business School creates awareness “ Passionate member of students of ITM Business School’s "Eco Club" came together on Sunday morning at 16th September, 2018, to clean about 800 meters of the beach at Shivaji Park with the mission of ‘Clean Mumbai, Green Mumbai.’

Department of Finance along with Department of Financial Markets organized a workshop on 18th September 2018 at ITM Business School, Kharghar. The workshop - “Finance GYM- A workout that pays” was taken by Mrs. Niyati Patel, faculty head of The Learning Curve Academy, sponsored by Kotak Mahindra. Mrs Niyati Patel a Finance graduate from NMIMS, has worked in HDFC as a Management Trainee, thereafter worked as the Vice President and Assistant Vice President - Senior Sales Officer in Bank of America for 8 years.

“Finance GYM” was mainly focused in imbibing the attitude of investment in the mindset of the students of ITM. It emphasised on the belief of ‘investing, not saving’.

 Delighted to share that with the support of one of the first batch ITM alumni , we have bagged a wonderful opportunity to showcase ITM Group at GVK MIAL Mumbai airport . Our various ITM units shall be organising various passenger engagement activities & events under the ITM banner .

With the blessing of Lord Ganesha, we started the ITM IHM MODAK festival managed by  ITM IHM Oshiwara .

 ITM Business School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai in collaboration with Indian Society for Training & Development( ISTD), Navi Mumbai Chapter, organised a workshop for their HR students on “Compensation & Benefits Management”. The resource person was Mr. Siva Ravi Teja V, Human Resource Business Partner, Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd.
Mr. Shiva shared his insights on role of Compensation and Rewards in organizational management, importance of compensation management, compensation strategy, wage determination process and rules. He also deliberated on the factors influencing wage and salary structure including principles of wage and salary administration. He further conducted an excise on designing a pay structure, differentials and variable pay. He congruently elucidated the need and strategies of managing employee benefits and impressed upon latest trends in Compensation Management.

 3 Students of PGDM-Operations and SCM specialization have participated in QCFI CCQC -2018 at IES, Bandra. 300 teams from all over India have participated. 2 out of 3 teams from ITM received gold and another 1 received silver trophy.  Compliments to all the three participants. 

 A guest lecture was organized for PGDM - Operations & Supply chain and PGDM - IT & Analytics, 2018-20 batch. The speaker for the session was Mr Sham Phadnis.
Mr Sham Phadnis is an ex-industry veteran with more than 33 years of industrial experience in National & International companies. He was associated with TATA Motors, Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing, Al Turki in Oman, Larsen and Toubro, Dodsal Saudi Arabia, headed major projects at Reliance Industries Limited in oil and gas division.

 Higher Education Forum (HEF) in association with Free Press Journal (FPJ) and ITM Business School (ITM) organized a Panel Discussion on “Youth Leadership in Changing India” and “Free Press Journal Scholarship Awards” on November 24, 2018 at ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai.
The Panel discussion included the young speakers from different walks of life pursuing their passion as profession.
