Workshop on Equity Research Analysis and Report Writing
A two-day workshop was organised on 10th and 12th November 2017 for students of PGDM-Financial Market and Finance students (ITM-Dombivli) in Computer lab, on Equity Research Analysis and Report Writing. The session was conducted by Mr. Rohit Nagraj, independent equity analyst and trainer. He was senior research analyst with Aranca Sunidhi Securities, Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt. Ltd. Angel Broking Ltd having 15 years of experience.
The session started with discussion on equity research, further explaining types of research, research life cycle, how to extract information of the company, understanding ket profitability metrics, ratio analysis, valuation methods. The session was very interactive, and students got insights on how to write an equity research report as the speaker connected all the aspects very well with the practical market. The department of Marketing & the Department of Retail Marketing Management (R.M.M.) organised an annual sales simulation activity called "Business Chaupal" successively for the 7th year at Glomax Mall on 23rd December 2017.The USP, of this sales based activity, this time was "MidNight Sale" that had happened for the very 1st time in Kharghar.
Mr. Srijit Nair (Business Head- Burger King) had inaugurated the event who was accompanied by Mr. J A Bhavsar.
Around 350 students of marketing and retail stream had participated in the event that was conducted under the guidance of Prof Arpita pandey, Prof Shatabdi Das & Prof Bhupendra Mishra.
With varied themes for their stalls like bollywood, greenery, christmas etc., all the batches competed with each other with great enthusiasm. Right from product procurement to the price setting to the sales, everything tuned out to be a wonderful entreprenerial experience for the students.

A Knowledgeable, worth remembering panel discussion on sales, at ITM Business School on 06/01/2018 under the guidance of Prof.Prachi Gupta, Dr. Deepa Nair , Dr. Jayanthi, Prof. Bhupendra Mishra and Prof.Arpita Pandey. The panelists were Richakant Mishra, Associate Director, KPMG India, Aheli Bhattacharya, ASE, UB, Aadhya Saravgi, Sales Executive, Schindler Group, Omkar Dash, Category manager, Reliance Retail, Saptarishi Datta, Branch P&L Head, Blue dart Express Limited, Sakshi Tiwari, Treasuries Relationship Manager, DBS Bank. The speakers appraised the students on the factors a successful sale would depend on. They further clarified that 30% of the success relies on brand, 30% on product and 40% on the capability of the sales person. The panelists were triumphant in converting all the points which we thought were negative into positive with appropriate live examples. The negative things which were listed by the students were targets, travelling, pressure, hard pricing, rejection and over committing.The 4 important things which a sales person should have as per the industry were
1. Good listening
2. No over committing
3.Team work
4.Never give up attitude
