SIMSR is surely gonna make me a multitask-er .... with three committee interviews, test next day, one live concurrent project and a presentation the very next day ....has left me neck broken :(
But this is how MBA is done... managing yourself is the key then only you will be able to manage others ....

Lot has happened in past 2 months at SIMSR...Want to update all that here....But Ohh god I have no time
....Its 10:20 PM now and I have hell lot of work to do...Come on I have to update it today....Its now or never because B-School life is like that only..
We joined the college on 20th June,2011..From that day we never looked back as we have no time to look back...Because the work load is like Himalaya now.. We have our mid terms from 17th Aug... Meanwhile the selection processes of various committees and forums are over now. It was not the cake walk to be in the committees and forums:shock:..Some times I thought that the GD/PI process to get admission in the college was easy....It was very hectic..Every committee had 3/4 rounds atleast.
Yours truly was not selected for any committee....Competition was intense yaar..... 
I also want to congratulate my friends on being selected for different committees and forums. U Guys rocked!!!
Lots of guest lectures,projects,assignment are now became the integral part of life...
Last but not the least...the experience at MAHAMANDI organised by NITIE was awesome....Enjoyed a lot with Mrinal(Interceptor 16)....:D:D
Lot more to come ....So I am poised to take what comes to me in due course of 2 years. Right now signing off....Have more to write but time constraints....Will be back soon..
for me ... the past week was super duper ultra hectic...
4 committee processes, a live project and not to mention the ppts and submissions and quizzes making life hell !!! but all this has its own charm...
the vibrant atmosphere in the hostel sets up the mood 😃

It was nice day at college...:D A bit relaxed one..Just one test and two back to back guest lectures. The speakers for the day were impressive.
The first speaker was CEO of Empronc Solutions. He shared his insights on spend governance.The hot topic now-a-days because of CWG Scam.
The second speaker was HR Head of Wipro Consumer Durables. This guest lecture was organised by INTERFACE-The Maketing Club of SIMSR. Awesome insights about the work culture and role of MBA graduates in FMCG sector.
Last but not the least, the movie shown by finance forum today was INSIDE JOB.I am shocked:shocked:and right now thinking that what will happen to world if all the facts stated in movie is true.The people at helm are behaving irresponsibly
. They are becoming rich by ruining others.

It was awesome day for me at SIMSR:D:D... We finally got the opportunity to meet our star alumni THE ROCKSTAR OF CAPITAL MARKETS Mr. Madhusudan Kela, Chief Investment Strategist at Reliance Capital...
He talked about success and passion. He gave awesome insights about the success and its obvious counterpart failure. According to him the failure is important for success as we will know the healing of success only after bruised by the failures. :clap::clap:
He also decided to give back to his alma-mater,so he shared his thoughts about grooming some of us. When the things will be in place I will update more about it.:grin::grin:

There is a deep silence in hostel right now.... No no:nono::nono:..you got it wrong... no storm to come.... even the tsunami has bruised :shocked::shocked:everyone over here.......yup, it was the tsunami of mid terms.....its just washed away the enthusiasm of SIMSRites.....So,we are trying to unwind ourselves so that can gear up for rigor to come.... Some of us are off to GOAAAAA
......Some went to PUNE.....and rest are enjoying hard in MUMBAI:drinking:...Thanks to extended weekend....So, overall its a fun time at SIMSR......Enjoyyyy friends:cheers::cheers:.... and I need some more sleep...

My first post on this sacred thread

First of all I am late in joining the party of updating about SIMSR, anyways my friends RP and Interceptor are here. Allow me to give a brief update so far.
On 20th Jun, our induction started and we thought these two weeks would give us a real glimpse of MBA education:shock:, but it turned out to be fun
. Along with classes we had some games and interaction activities to each other well.
After induction, classes began in full swing. But thanks to SAF event "All izz Well" which infact provided us a base to know the whole batch of PGDM, IB and RM. In this we got to know the qualities of many of our batch mates ;).
Then came one more event "Impressions" in which first year students were divided among grps like Fashion show(moi
), Movie spoof - Pep it up, Chak Dhoom Dhoom, Sell hell! . This event was totally fun, we had to come up with something new as a team and the performance given by each and every was superb. In the end I would say " Mahnat rang layi".
Now come the selection process of the committees. Each and every day, interview round were scheduled for each committee. Few of moi batch mates had interviews back to back:wow:. I also applied for few and got through.
Now it is the time of exams
, everybody was seen with books, books and lods of books during the last week. Hopefully exams went fine for everybody...and time is now to relax and 
as long weekend is here... to enjoy.
P.S. Sorry for the long post, although I said a brief update :biggrin:. Short mein likhne ki aadat nahi rahi
phewwww .... finally mid terms over and life is again happy :)
classes started today post mid term for out 1st trimester and I managed to bunk the very 1st class due to a heavy dose of sleep coupled with some pending submissions and ppts which were to be submitted today which indeed was a very very tough job after coming straight from a long weekend :D
Sports meet Elan-e- Yuddh is going to start from tomorrow and lets see if I manage to wake up by 6.30 AM tomorrow morning or not :P
Thats it for now... will be back soon
