He is an invisible hero who makes sure our buildings don’t fall into disrepair and stay neat and clean. He plays a critical role in providing us a great indoor environment. His hardworking nature is something we all can learn from.
Enactus Somaiya Social Cell's ‘Project Parivartan’ conducted a street play, performed by the artists of ‘Asmita’ Theatre Group, to raise awareness about proper waste management and segregation. This event marked the beginning of the endeavour to make SIMSR a Zero Waste Campus.

IBS -The International Business Society of SIMSR, conducted its flagship event- IB Summit’19 with the theme ‘International Trade and Protectionism’. It hosted eminent speakers like Mr Sudhir Shenoy and Mr Anuj Bhargava. Case study competition- ‘Adhiveshan’, was the highlight of the summit.
‘International Colloquium’ - a cultural exchange program was also organized by IBS. 44 foreign students across various courses in the Somaiya University delivered beautiful cultural performances pertaining to their native countries. The chief guest for this session was Mr Shafiqullah Ibrahimi, Third Secretary and Head of Cultural Department, Consulate General of IR Afghanistan.
Shekar Y, Alum of 1985 Batch, Incharge - Center for Digital Technology, IIM Udaipur was back in campus for a Guest Lecture on 'Impact of Technology on Managerial Roles'. He spoke about how technology has evolved over the years and the need for all managers to keep upgrading themselves.
We congratulate Krupa Rathod and Maithili Upadhyay , PGDM Marketing (2018-20), National Finalists of Sales & Marketing team of Airtel iCreate, an idea- centric business competition, with near-reality market scenarios, organised by Airtel.
Their team 'Infinity' got selected as National Finalists by making it up to the top 3 teams, each selected from across 4 verticals- marketing & sales, finance, HR and supply chain.

Anuj Bhargava, Alum of Batch 1985, Founder, A.B Associates delivered a session on International trade and protectionism organised by International Business Society (IBS) Committee, SIMSR on Saturday, 16th November, 2019.
He gave students a different perspective on international trade and how protectionism among countries is practised and the effect of the same on other countries.
Data Science and Technology Department, SIMSR organized a webinar on "Business Analytics and Big Data" on 21st November, 2019.
The webinar was attended by MCA students and faculty and had brief emphasis on topics like Big Data, Industry 4.0, Digital Business Transformation, Data Modelling and Analysis etc.
Dhananjay Kothari , the Chairperson of MarCquest 2019 gives us an insight into how working for MarCquest - the annual flagship marketing communication festival of SIMSR gave him an opportunity to manage and lead a team of 60+ strong headed individuals. He added that having undertaken this path has moulded him into a much better version of himself. MarCquest has helped him to transform his leadership skills and has given him an opportunity to learn more about Integrated Marketing Communication.
Pratiksha Ugade Ma'am has been associated with Somaiya since a very long time. She completed her B.A. from Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce and now, has been associated with SIMSR for 8 years and is also pursuing her part time MBA from here.
She started as the Front Desk Executive and is now the Admin Assistant of the Admissions team. She says that Somaiya has had a big impact throughout her life, from academics to developing a career. She also was the first person to receive the Outstanding Employee Award at SIMSR.
