Seems like we have grown immune to this feeling after landing in SIMSR.
No tensions, no last minute chills... We are behaving very neutral and indifferent :clap:

1.PGDM Financial Services A 2 year full time program specializing in Finance for graduates with 50% marks. Those appearing in their final exams in April/May 2012 can also apply. CAT, XAT, CMAT & MH-CET scores are accepted for this course.
2.PGDM Retail Management - A 2 year full time program specializing in Retail for graduates with 50% marks. Those appearing in their final exams in April/May 2012 can also apply. CAT, XAT, CMAT & MH-CET scores are accepted for this course.
3.PGDM Executive A 15 month full time programme for graduates with 50% marks and 5years or more of work experience. XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT & MH-CET scores are accepted for this course.

We had alumni interaction session on 24th Feb.In this series, We got opportunities to meet with three different personalities Mr. Vipul Khosla , Ms. Amurta Kulkarni (both 2004 Alumnus) & Mr.Aarohi Vashistha(LSE Alumnus and Vipul Friend).
Both alumni are from PGPIB batch and doing well in industry .
Mr. Vipul is currently based in Melbourne, Australia and is working as Research Manager with Australian Broadcasting Corporation.He also done Masters in economics from London School of Economics.
Ms. Amruta Kulkarni is Manager -Client Relations at Sodexo Svc India Pvt Ltd.
Whole interaction was fruitful for us in terms of how your academic learning is fruitful in industry and what are the key expertise you must posses while you are working in any organization.
Recently, we have received great news of summer internship placement of our class mate in one of the best institution to work i.e. Reserve Bank of India. I saw how people wished on summer internsand make them cry (Tears of Happiness & Pain).

SIMSRites are in sports fever just after Mid term
Inter class sports competition is on!!
Today, I played basketball match against MMS class and won the match in very close competition as we better know how to make and implement strategy .Just, played after 5 years.
Our teams are thrashing opponents in most of the sports.
We are IB (Sara College ek taraf Joshi ka baccha ek taraf ):clap: say so na !!
Though , their are 5 assignments to be submit on upcoming Monday.:banghead:

A fantastic guest lecture on 'Inclusivity in Diversity' was conducted by Deloitte today at the SIMSR campus. We had the previlege of hearing to Mr. Chandu Mukkavali, director at Deloitte India for more than a hour and a half. He introduced diversity and the consulting business to us from a refreshing perspective! Boy it was enlightening stuff :D
So then its gonna be one hell of a month to come with all presentations and assignments lined up, farewell to seniors (the sad part!) and the exams as usual 😁 And then immediately internships! Talk about B-school life..

We are glad to announce one more achievement by students of SIMSR. A team from SIMSR comprising of Rohit Sawant, Kanav Karol, Manoj Mahato, Nayan Jain of PGDM- FS participated in an event named Stock Torero organised by Bombay Stock Exchange and won 1st prize comprising of cash prize of Rs. 15000/-, a trophy and coupons worth Rs 48000. It was a national level event in which 31 colleges from all over India participated including colleges like JBIMS, NMIMS, TISS, Symbiosis, Welingker and IIT Bombay. In the event 8 crore rupees allotted to each team with an aim to maximize profit from its portfolio. Team from SIMSR managed to make maximum net profit of around 48 crore.:grin:

One more feather in SIMSR Cap
We are pleased to inform that Tarun Sethi from PGDM Finance (2010-12 batch) has won 2nd prize in B-Plan competition "R Idea organised by Raisoni group.
The event, spread over almost 3 weeks, included a preliminary round where the teams had to present an executive summary of the business idea and then, in the final round, the selected teams presented their plan before an elite panel comprising leading VCs and Industry experts. The participant was awarded trophy + cash prize of INR100000. The final round comprised of 24 teams from IIM A, B, K, NMIMS, JBIMS, IMT, NITIE, Welingkar, etc.

The 3 days long weekend passed away in a blink and a flash 
We are so so so heavily loaded with assignments, submissions and presentations that the period of 3 days seemed like normal weekday which goes off in no time.
Exactly one year back, I used to be the king of Noida While in job,long weekends meant fun, frolic and lot of masti with friends. But now the MBA feeling is sinking in us in the 3rd sem when all the faculties are cracking the whip on us and becoming tough taskmasters
Wish the semester ends soon and we can proceed to a 15 days long vacation to our hometown... 
before again joining the summer internship programs in hot and humid Mumbai
