OMG .......IB paper........the best part was its preparation....
What say Mrinal Banerji, Shivam Awasthi??
Studying all night..(khauf IB ka..) with barely 2 hours of sleep and already knowing that you can not do much is a mix of tension and hardwork at that time but a memory to cherish for lifetime....
Around 300 pages to study and only 10 hrs..(bahut na insaafi h...)..3-4 friends in a room reading the pages with a wish to grab it all in a flash...then discussing some points....cursing ourselves for not understanding......counting the pages.....making resolution that from next trim will read every subject from start of the trim....drinking water like anything....trying to wake up all night.....sleeping at 3 AM and then waking up at 5 AM.....telling to friends"kuch padha de na yaar"....and "sab bhool gya"......
A night to remember..... everyone fought hard to save........
Thats a flash of life@SIMSR......

A team comprising of Sabarinathan S, Saranyan R and Venkatnarayan P R has won the FIRST prize in the marketing event "The Socialite" organised by Great Lakes Institute of Management in their fest "L'Attitude 13.5". The event was about promoting Kabaddi as a professional sport in India. The team won the prize beating teams from IIM-Bombay, IIFT-Delhi, IIM-Calcutta and SIBM-Bangalore.
Congratulations to the team!!
Had a superb guest lecture and interaction with Mr. P. Vadgama,President &CEO;,CHEP India.
The theme for today's discussion was "Relevance of Equipment Pooling Services in Global Supply Chain Management" in which CHEP is a global leader.
The interaction was very informative and interactive.
We were privileged to have Mr. Pradeep Lokhande of the firm 'Rural Relations' deliver a guest lecture on rural enterpreneurship yesterday. Rural Relations is a firm which works for multi-national organizations in market sampling, franchisee identification, customer profiling, etc in the remote hinetrlands of our country.
While we youngsters have always associated enterpreneurship with a e-commerce venture, we were simply wowed by the opportunities in the 6,00,000 villages that still lies untapped! Mr. Pradeep emphasized the need for a completely tailored approach for MNCs when they get in touch with the rural market. The intricacies of interacting with them effectively were explained in a humorous manner, engaging the audience throughout.
The one hour talk was surely an eye-opener, easily among the best we have heard at SIMSR.. Thanks to the Enterpreneurship Cell for organizing such a wonderful talk..
Two wonderful guest lectures back to back now.. waiting for more 😃
Today we interacted with Mr. P. Vadgama,President &CEO;,CHEP India as part of IBS@SIMSR activity.

It is our honor that a President of such a big MNE accolade our alumni in front of us.
OMG !! Watch was showing 8.15pm !! Just after session had a quick dinner with rps4ever.
Meanwhile in dinner, a million dollar question was asked as usual "Arree Cutoff kitna jayega ?"
Going to spend rest of night with our very own CPJ's Subject

Melange is Next !!
The stage has been set, the battle lines have been drawn and the competitors have been identified....
Welcome to the world of Melange , where ideas and thoughts converge to outshine the rivals and bring out the best in you. With a plethora of events in the management , marketing, finance, cultural, mythology and strategy , Melange 2012 promises to be bigger and better.
The halls and auditoriums are serving as the rehearsal grounds for teams in cultural events. Late night discussions of strategy events in hostel rooms. Brains cracking to formulate a killer B plan to outshine the others' .... these sights are common in SIMSR these days.
On the other hand, the academic rigor is increasing exponentially on us (the IB guys) ..... life is getting tougher n tougher every day but that is how the life in B schools is.
Come what my, I won't bow down
Two exiciting back to back guest lectures were organized at SIMSR yesterday. Dr. Milind Bhatt was there to talk tabout how we can understand our inner self in order to develop our personality. The talk gave a fresh perspective about how executives (that is, we people after our MBAs ) can effectively manage stress at work and lead a disease-free life.
The second lecture was organized by Interface, the marketing club of SIMSR, had Mr. K Ramakrishnan, VP-L&T; fying down to deliver a talk on what it takes to survive in various sectors in the corporate world. It was an insightful session with we getting a better picture of life after our MBA.
And of course, Day 0 is here (no, not the placement one ). Tomorrow is Melange and SIMSR will be on top gear for the next 2 days!
Icing on the cake - mid terms in a week! Its all happening this trimester
