r u mad man..................comparing IBS, hyd with SDM-IMD, IBS has strong brand linkage.....where as SDMIMD is in mysore, has nothing to boast abt as far as marketing,branding concerned.industry linkage is also poor as the avg sal is only rs.4 lakh(as per outlook)................god bless

The Concerned Querry is to the point and invigorting.....May b a general querry but this Homework is certainly necesarry ....SDM entertains only valid CAT score with relative importance on Workexperience and Background( Undergrad).IBS hyd is not bad .....but certainly there is world of difference b/w Not bad and Good.....SDM is Average B school with honest repuatation in industry .....IBS fees is too much and intake is close to intake of 10 B schools...now choice is urs where u want to land up..either in One among Crowd or Crowd among u....i hope nobody will be happy after paying 10 lacs and getting 4-5 lacs as ROI........Invest carefully ...thats what i can say.....and dont listen to people who can only cry foul and doesnt know abt college perse.

i didnt perfom well in CAT
Only those falls in cutoffs are called for interview... or else even others(those who doesnt have the req cutoff) too called for gd/PI then final results ???

individual cut offs are not there as far as i know... but in general last year the lowest was around 65 percentile.. do u have wrk ex

I have a query, since SDM has B.E ,Dental and other courses also, will focus be given for the management, will there be a real feel of B-School, pls give me honest opinion on this as i need to decide whether taking up the offer from SDM.. will the placements be seperate for Management students?? and how much focus is there for the summer placements..pls any of the seniors out there, answer this query.Awaiting for your earliest reply..
The SDM has so many colleges schools etc.. BUT WE R SDMIMD.. a complete and only BSCHOOL seperate from all the rest.. we hav our own campus .. exclusive..
the SDM-IMD has its own placements.. we are a seperate entitiy 😃 but part of SDM family

The thread was out of discussion for long and no one but we are responsible for that only..well..1st years are in teh campus..almost 1.5 months over..they faced their Mid term xams..must be quite interesting to face question papers not like traditional question papers during grads...In SDMIMD questions are mainly application based..We along ith the first yrs really enjoyed the Grand Fresher's party..and Khoj-a talent hunt pgm is due this week...life is a 24/7 over here...
Recently Mr. Sriram Sreenivasan visited the campus and we had really a great learning from him...about brand management and role of Brand manager... Mr. Sriram Sreenivasan is a former CEO of Madura
Garments, Indigo Nation and has been responsible for the launch of brands

We in SDM IMD have sampriti committee who takes care of cultural events...they have put a gr8 effort and newly elected first year sampriti committee members really did a nice work...they have raised the level of expectations..and its a challenge for them as they have to now work hard to maintain and enhance the level further...
the event clearly showed the pool of talent that we have in 2008-10 batch...

Actually It does Nidhin. Its better to have a community older than a new one. The more number of posts the more credibility it gets so this community is better to be continued like this. you can always have a new community for each batch but can you keep it going? and this way every new student can know about the institute at one community from all batches. 😃
