Hi Neelabh...i went thru the threads as u had suggested...But i coudnt find the xact detaisl regarding the placements..u hv given a list of cos. The list is impressive...:-) can u plz tell wht was the highest salary and the median salary for this batch.

ur wait ends here. today we release the final placements figures for the batch of 2006. needless to say we have achieved the 100% placement mark as always. what is surprising this time is a huge swell in the number of students placed in top notch IT and ITES companies, many of whom are freshers and non-engineers. most of the packages offered hav been upwards of Rs. 5 lacs p.a. it will a while before we cum out wid the detailed statistics of median avg. packages offered. in the meanwhile take a look at the comapnies :

Dude last time i checked Sterlite was part of the Vedanta group and Vedanta group recruits for the whole group and companies like Sterlite do not pick up people on thier own at least at the MT level and upwards.
BTW why did sterlite "come" twice to campus????? ( 27 and 30th on the list)

Avg Salary = 5.8 lpa

hi sir this is manish here had my gd on the 18th so had met u then P28I .... have a waitlist of 4 so hopefully should clear.... 2 questions abt SIIB .. are there as many rules as that in SCMHRD... are we allowed to keep bikes and whats the take on LAPTOPS.... are extra curriculars like yoga etc compulsary..... what do we do in EXTRA CURRICULARS..... is there an ORIENTATION PROGRAM

good questions all..lemme answer them one by one -

1.frst we do not encourage comparison between symbi colleges...we believe what will work for us might not work for some one else and vice versa...so there u are.we do hav rules and they are meant to be followed.whether they are as strict as another institute taht u will come to knw wen u land here.in between u will also get ur rules and discipline handout along wid call letter.so that will solve sum of ur doubts.

2.we are not allowed to keep bikes..but many guys here keep bikes.that rule is not enforced very stringently.but u will hav to keep ur bike in open.they are not allowed inside campus.so safety of the bike is an issue.

3.dont buy ur lapstops right away.we had a very good deal wid HP last year where in they provided model nx6120 wid 60 gb hdd,512 ram and all the fancy gizmos alogwith MS Windows XP Professional and a Trnscend 256 mb pen drive....all for 42,000 bucks.

4.health club three days a week is compulsory.the hav attendance attached to them.gym,yoga and aerobics ...three activities,three days.

5.frst 3 days will be orientation programs and ice-breaking events.great fun...great learning.

thanx a lot for that sir ..... as we were told that in hostels each room has three occupants so are all of them from the same institute of do the the colleges share common hostels ..... do we choose ur roommates or we assigned roommates....
and lastly are we allowed cable connections at SIIB coz the WORLD CUP will be in JUNE and i am a huge football fan ....
pertaining to the last question will we have time ... sounds off track but still i hope u will answer the last question too

u will have room mates from SIIB itself

.u will be asigned roomates based on ur roll numbers.and boys hostel mein TV hai wid cable connection. u can follow world cup provided u hav time
