regarding the hostel.. what all facilities are there? do we have a TV in the room? i havent stayed in a hostel ever and staying without watching football would be a difficult taks!!
and one more thing.. in the brochure its mentioned we cant get our bikes... isnt there some facility that we can keep bikes outside campus or something??

TV in the room? thoda jyada nahi ho gaya? ;) TV is there in the hostel obviously...waise hard to predict hw much u wud be able to catch up on ur fav football action..time wud be a constraint for sure Bikes can be bought at ur own risk...just today the Hijewdi Police towed away bikes kept in vicinity by students...cheers !!

Are the aerobic sessions and all compulsory?? Man Life sure seems tough if they are

Guys.. How good (or bad ) is the food at the mess?? Also what is the scene with travelling? i mean how frequently can we leave campus??
Also, since the station is quite far.. how many times does the bus go towards the city?

hey sriram....food at da mess is pretty fine.....im ean i myself did my engineering as a hosteler.....so it's pretty good....moreover, we have got a student's food committee for the campus( it includes memebers from SCMHRD & SCIT also) which takes acre of the food at mess, cafeteria na juice bar in the campus....there is a shuttle bus service running between da SIC(SIIB) campus & the SITM campus in the city....buses r there almost in a space of 1hr. ....so travelling is not an issue...leaving the campus to visit city varies from student to student....but u r not likely to get much time to visit city once the course starts....u might get 2-3 initial days, which is the induction period, 2 visit the city...ample opportunities in those days to explore...

hey sri....as far as facilities go....it's like....u'll be provided a mattress....carry ur own sheets & blanket...climate over here is pretty gud....u get hot water in the rooms....rooms r on sharing basis...3 guys( or girls, as the case may be)....there is a TV in the common room...but on TV in rooms....if u really into soccer following, i guess u'll find time 4 urself....:) e.g. i, myself, somehow, maanged to get 1 hr for playin volley n cricket...so it's upto u...as neelabh mentioned above....bikes r at student's risk....we park our bikes outside the hostel & the campus....but a bike, more or less, helps.....

Weekends:wow: ???? wht weekends?? Arre bhai koi mujhe bhi batao.... The classes run 7 days a week . N thn if u get a day or some hours off i am sure u wud want to sleep U may get 2 c futbal sm day n consider tht 2 b ur lucky day, atleast in 1st year... N yes, aerobics etc are all compulsory. we are at least a bit lucky than u coz we dont have to do any assignments like u ppl so i am goin to enjoy till i come there.. that doesnt mean i wont enjoy once i come there
umm...some confusion i think..lets make it amply clear...no swapping of any kind is allowed when allocation of foreign language is done...plz dont hav any doubt abt this issue in ur mind...cheers !!

hey nad....daily routine...classes start from 9 am....they'll continue till till 6:30-7:00 pm( on some odd days, prob. once or twice a week, can continue till 8:30-9:00 pm also)...after that thrice week, u'll hav yoga/aerobics/gym...which is compulsary to attend....then....u'll keep gettin some assignments...which take another 2-3 hrs....workin a group....after tht...i prefer to play....volley/cricket for sometime...may for an hour or so....then some magazine/newspaaper/odd book....may be an odd movie once a week on laptop.....goto sleep by 2-3 am.....then agin next day starts at 8 am 4 me....u wud be provided all the books that u wud need....no need to purchase any books..... may be now u can purchase a book on accounts/stats....for self study b4 comin here....we got some assignment on stats b4 v joined...but i guess....not many ppl did tht.....i'll advice...tht u purchase a laptop at campus....coz v get pretty gud deals over here....2-3 gud options to choose from....u can save 10-12 k at campus deals.....abt KJ Somaiya....it's ur call...depends on ur choice of carrer....if u wanna go for something like intl biz....then siib is a worthy choice......if any further doubts...feel free

are....u r most welcome as a student n as a junior also.....gud tht u made ur decision so quickly...now u r more certain...let me tell u....it wud help u....we get intl profiles....many of r alumni r working abroad in various very senior positions.....book on accounts....try n get symbiosis distance learning book by s.k. inamdar...same prof wud teach u in first year....4 stats go 4 levin rubin.....assignments depend on coll authorities....v got them arnd may begining....laptop config.....gud tht u gotta younger brother.....spend gr8 time....v hav 80 gb hdd....intel centrino....dvd writer....or check.....hp pavilion dvd2000....at some vendor...or on net....maybe....it wud be a better guide....u'll get a pleathora of options.....u'll get the room within an hour of reaching campus....don worry.....these 2 yrs r gonnna be amongst the best years of ur life....lookin fwd 2 meetin u.....keep enjoyin ur time wid family....

Hey thanks man.. i wasnt worrying.. just fooling around... and ya i was thinking abt the foreign language only.. actually i enjoy learning new languages.. and i have done a bit of french already in my schooling.. so wanted to learn a different language this time around.. and even if i wont be able to swap it still is ok :)

well life doesnt seem all that bad now after all ... yeah i am a bit crazy with sport, but basketball never really tried and volleyball is very limited experience.. football sounds good... and thanks for calling me Sri... its what i am more used to... none of my friends know me as Sriram!!!
