@SIIBlings...i knw most of the Class of 2008 wud now hav left the campus after the final xams..and the Class of 2009 wud be leaving for the smmr interns...will try to revive this thread once again...anyone ready to give a helping hand? :lookroun:

another couple of questions for u nadeem.i'm kinda looking to join siib and give cat another shot next year.so i wanna know what the months of nov and dec are like at siib in the first year which is the peak entrance exam time.i mean would it possible to go off on sundays and give the exams?no mid terms during that time eh?and what months is the internship in.and last question,was the highest package offered last year by one of the new companies like pwc,std chart and so?how many guys did they pick?

Hi...m Naresh Poonia...from class of '08...since SIIB is under SIU..Sem 1 final exams for class of '09 happened around end of october...n second sem mid sem usually happens in mid jan...but given the kind of workload which is there...u may not hav time to prepare...usually classes r there on sundays...n wat actually happens...there are subjects wid lectures only on sundays...so u may end up missing continuous evaluation...
i wud suggest that if u focus on learning at SIIB, u may not feel the need of taking CAT again...its ur call neways..
first yr usually ends in 1st week of april...n 3rd sem starts from july..the intervening period is for interns...duartion of project is usually around 2 months for most of the companies..PWC picked 2 of my batch mates and the package for PWC vary from candidate to candidate...i guess both of them will be getting around 9 lacs...i guess 4 students opted to join Stanchart...package wid variable is likely to be in excess of 10 lacs...

Can anybody give any details about how to go about applying for an education loan?
I am leaving Bangalore for Pune on the 6th.. So dnt have any time to go to Delhi to apply for a loan..
Any way I can apply for it from Pune? Does SIIB have any tie-up with any banks for edu loan? do let me know if anybody has any idea..

We are the batch of 2008-10. We would be updating the thread on a regular basis regarding the various activities that takes place in college.
As its the first post from our batch, let me first explain about the teams thats are active in college. We have dedicated teams and rotating teams.
All the activities are carried on by these teams itself.
Even the official website of our college is made and maintained by the dedicated students.
Every Friday, various activities like quiz,debates,guest lectures etc are organised again by students.
The detailed description on these will be given in the posts to come.
Its so good to the next generation of SIIBlings coming to the fore :D
Keep updating this place with all the happenings in the college...and you will see a lot many aspirants posting on this thread with their queries...hope to see some real interesting posts about my beloved college...keep 'em coming folks !

the academic session is now in full swing at siib now that we are more than one month into it.we started with an orientation program which had some serious stuff and a lot of fun.We recently had aarambh 2008-a function in which all three colleges on campus-scit,scmhrd and siib,took part and which saw some seriously heated competition between the three.The new batch is now starting to feel the heat of studies that comes with the territory if u r in a good b-school.The seniors,fresh from their summers are taking it easy for a while as they would soon have to start preparations for their final placements.
I'm sure there are lots of prospective SIIBians out there.feel free to ask any questions u might have about the institute.We'll keep u updated on the college news and events

We thought that 2nd year would be little easier, but in vain......
2nd year is equally stressful, but we have learnt now how to tackle all these....so now we enjoy these over loaded weekends and weekdays....
so... finally we Seniors are going to welcome batch of 2008-2010 in the form of lavish fresher's party in an exotic resort on 1st aug.....
These days Midsems are going on but still the prep. for the SIIB leadership series is going on at good pace...
SIIB Leadership series is going to be held on 21st September....
Finally Fresher's (Grand party) got over on 9th august.. after much delay.......
