Bit confused about SIIB, could u tell me wats the top three packages at SIIB this year and which all consulting firms visited u r campus.
One of my frend is in second year and she got placement at i flex and her package is 3.5 so plz let me know some more details.

there is nothing like summer placement at bremen and oakland. it is a study tour of 40 days in bremen university and oakland university. so u go to these places after u have completed ur summer project. the number of students taken on the tours vary from 30 to about 50. and it is matter of choice whether someone wants to go to these places. yesss...it is fun but also comprehensive value addition as one understands the nuances of international business at close quarter. hope that answers ur query.

i think u wud have taken the trouble of going through the previous posts all ur doubts wud have been cleared. u can expect a call frm SIIB at abt 75. and acads do not matter for gd/pi calls. only the snap scores are taken into account. it is the final selection which considers acads, academic background, work ex, xtra curriculars etc. any other doubt. shoot here.

yes family business can be considered as work ex but only if u have that experience after completing ur graduate degree. and be prepared to justify the work experience in the interview round, that is if u get through.and plz do submit the work ex certificate along with the application form. all the best....

i thinkin one of the earlier posts i hav mentioned abt the compensation packages. anyhow, with such a profile u can expect a package of abt 6.5 to 7 lacs in top IT companies as business analyst or as consultant. in the class of 2006 abt 40% of the batch has been placed in IT and ITES with India's "Top Three" IT companies picking up abt 20% of the batch. any other queries?

I want to ask that on what aspects does SIIB focus during interviews.. Are the GD topics likely to be from WTO, EXPORT POLICY etc?? I mean how much of international business one should know b4 appearing for GD and PI??

well the 3.5 lac package that u r talking abt iflex is a bit misleading. here 3.5 lacs is the inhand component and there are added benefits as well like foreign posting within 6 mnths and styff like that. and as the placement for class of 2006 is in the final stages, we are not in a position to disclose anyother details but yess the finals this year at SIIB have been a bumper haul and belive me the figures will beat the moonlights out of many "respected"b-schools. anyother generic query? ask it here.

nice name u have got !! the gd is in form of a case study and it is ageneral business case study, nothing very complex like WTO, EXIM Policy etc. even the interview is a very general one. in the interview the non-engineers are generally tested on aptitude, the engineers might be asked a few questions on their subjects. as for people wid work ex, they have a lot of explanations to do on their quality of work ex, the company, the learnings from experience etc. wat is being looked during the interview is the spark.WTO,EXIM Policy can be taught while u are in SIIB. but as a precautionary measure u will do well to understand broad outlines abt these topics. hope this answers ur query.all the best....

for the info and compliment both.. Well sorry to bother you again.. I have applied to SCMHRD and looking forward to SIIB and SIBM as i'll be getting around 95 in SNAP..Just today i have recieved this publicity material from SCIT. My opinion about SCIT is that it's not a regular B-School and would demand a lot of core computer science skills for the course.. (That's not a prob as i am a compu sc. student).. But i want to make sure that it's not a bad bet...
Help me make the decision.....

Sign it and send it to SIIB admissions office with the payment Advice which is in the prospectus. Well that's it for the freshers ..(Open Seats).. You need to attach the sponsorship letter if you wish to apply under that category... Well SIIB seniors What do you say??..

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME..I HAVE TAKEN THE FORM FROM IMS FOR SIIB AND DID THE ONLINE REG..BUT I DIDNT GET THE ONLINE REGISTRATION NUMBER...BUT I HAVE TO FILL IT IN A PLAVE IN THE FORM TO BE SENT..PLZ TELL ME WHAT TO DO?DID YALL GET IT??

If you have already bought the prospectus then send the payment authentication slip in the prospectus along with the print-out. If you have not yet bought the prospectus you can either buy it from any of the coaching classes or you have to send a dd of 1000 along with the print-out.
You have to buy the form one way or the other. You dont expect to apply free of cost, Do you?
