Divyang's story!
Being an IT engineer I've worked as a business analyst and a business development executive for almost 2 years. Within this span, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to interact with clients from around more than 50 countries. This triggered my curiosity in learning and exploring the tactics of international business more closely. That was one of the prime reasons of me being at SIIB. I believe, learning is an on-going process and this philosophy is the best part I found here. Apart from the classroom learning, being one in between the diaspora of diversified peers helps you learn different perspectives altogether. Learning management by indulging in it is what you get as a student at SIIB.Events at SIIB are the best example to it. Assuming different roles right from leading an event to being in the back-end, is what I think took my skills to next level and added few more dimensions to my perspective of management. It's a dream job of any marketer to get associated with a FMCG firm. This dream came true when I got my summer internship with one of the top FMCG giants in Africa. With this opportunity in hand, I'll get a chance to explore yet another culture and industry which will act as a Launchpad to my career taking me a bit closer towards my goal. So, this was just the first year, with another year of my stint at SIIB, I will try to continue this pace and come out as a responsible marketer by profession and a good citizen by virtue.

Poojitha's Story!
My pre SIIB life was quite haphazard and exuberant, in other words wacky and directionless. I liked everything so I dabbled. I was a dilettante. Some of the things that caught my fancy during my engineering and post engineering years were, soldering electronic circuits with the least number of ICs, being a temporary environmental crusader, developing dapper Android apps, modelling food and men for photography, exploring graphic design to give shape to my eccentricity.Fast forward to 2016, placed with a conglomerate in Nigeria. I won't hide it, I am absolutely stoked. And thankful. To my luck and to SIIB. I don't believe I was too smart. At my last job I was earning less than what the start-ups' CEO's driver was earning. My best friend had joined SCMHRD while I was toiling away. She coaxed me to take up MBA, add to it my mothers' loving pester. That was October 2013, I quit my job, hence my temporary passion. I gave XAT and SNAP. Joining SIIB was the best chance I had.SIIB streamlined my goals, reinstated faith in my ambitious dream to make it queen size. It gave me time to think. It unmistakably catapulted me into reality, into realising my potential due to the constant feedback of the lecturers, good and bad. I might not be "born for business", but I grew confident, learned to be professional, less unruly and more corporate. I knew I had something in me, but the college gave me proof. I never did sing before, or walk the ramp. It gave me great friends. They were my Does when Dementors tried to feed on me. It gave me great juniors, from who I learnt a lot too. Patience, emotional intelligence, tolerance for ideas weren't my strongholds.

Daryl's Story!
Having worked for over 3 years in the Oil & Gas sector, the MBA in Energy & Environment program at SIIB made the most sense to me in terms of career growth. With a course structure that helped me get a strong foundation, SIIB has given me that boost everyone looks for at one point in their career.
The healthy mix of events and extra-curricular activities also meant I never lost touch with my passion for football, public-speaking and many more, thus ensuring a holistic and all-round personal development.
Topping it off with a job as a Consultant at KPMG in the Sustainability & Climate Change division, I can truly say that SIIB has been the turning point for me.

Kumardip's Story
In a world where Facebook helps us to stay connected, WhatsApp texts to communicate, Tinder to find partners and Google to give all the answers to your questions, somehow I feel that there is a lack of self-understanding amongst us leading us to confusion. We don't really know what we do, for whom we do and most importantly why. Being a commerce graduate while applying to MBA colleges for Masters, someone asked me why MBA and I had no answer. I mean if one Google searches why MBA, that person will get 100 reasons, why to do MBA and 100 reasons why not to, leading to confusion. Ultimately what matters is one's ability and power to take decision and a wise one, but to be able to do so, one should know himself very well.It took me a year after graduation, undergoing so many irrelevant courses, to know myself little better and what I am good at, and it was then, when I decided to put up a carrier in Marketing and Communications. But I did not want to settle for just another MBA from just another college and it was this wish of mine which led me to SIIB, to pursue MBA in International marketing. And guess what, this decision in life was the best decision I have ever taken. The kind of Knowledge imparted, challenges faced, friends made, plans failed, and new opportunities acknowledged it was all worth living for. Every day in SIIB I felt alive rather than just breathing and confused. The transformation here along with help of my college was the reasonfor me getting placed with a conglomerate in Nigeria with my dream profile dealing in International markets. Over all, it was my best story that's about to be past, but as they say, the end is just another beginning. Thank you SIIB
