Hi dear

I am Lalit Garg. I have mailed pm to u. I have done mech. engg. in march 2003 and then did job from 15 oct,2003 to 20 may, 2005 and now left the job.

What should I do for NOC and affidavit regarding status of gap between two academic programmes i.e B.E and MBA.

if u r not working (currently)..then you dont have to submit noc.just submit an affidavit that you r not induldged in any criminal activity....

Can u put on ur suggestions on the criteria of selection or i should say the weightage of sections like CAT percentile - 85 % as they have mentioned in prospectus and acads as I am having low acads just below 60% in my engineering. is that going to hamper my chance in any way. Well I am good in GD and written as well. I mean is 90+ percentile enough to get a call and also to convert it with 19 months work ex.

dont worry about acads.if u are good you will be selected...last year ubs people checked the overall personality ..if you r good u will be able to clear GD & PI stage also....
last yr there was a cluster in the range of 91-94 percentiles so the difference of marks was quite thin.........so your marks in gd pi stage were very important last year.it depends how this year people perform in CAT......

Faculty at UBS is excellent...........all the faculty members are PhD..........
Now u just concentrate on your CAT ........when you get a call from UBS do mail me........ok..........best of luck for your CAT ........

I have a query regarding the admission application form. The photograph has to be attested, but it has not been mentioned whether we have to attest it ourselves, or get it attested by a gazetted officer... PLEASE help me clear this confusion, as the date of submission of forms is coming nearer.....

Well i had a query and thought this would probably be the place where it might just get clarified. Any student presently in UBS could possibly help me out. I had applied for UBS and till now havn't received any communication from them regarding the acceptance of my form...can somebody confirm what the procedure is like? just getting a little worried:huh:

Well dear, I'm not a UBS guy, but a local Chandigarh guy, I know this deptt. pretty well. I deposited my form personally at the counter, and got an acknowledgement slip. For those outstation candidates, please note that you will not get any acknowledgement, just as in the case of FMS, Delhi. These are sarkari deptts. and they give a damn about acknowledgements. However, rest assured, if you have sent your form by proper courier/ postal deptt., ther should not be any cause of concern. I have never lost any MBA application in the past two years, I've even been sending by ordinary post. Wait till the results are out, is you're called for round two, that'll confirm status of your application. Till then, relax.

Well folks, I've got to this post pretty late as far as submission of applications is concerned, however a word of caution to those interested in taking up Finance at UBS, you'll gonna meet your waterloo. No placements worthwhile. I've known entire batches playing safe and taking up marketing. HR is a separate course, with separate cutoffs, so no issue here. It's second in preference to marketing. MIB is again a definate NO, NO. Likewise, there's no specialization offered in Systems. So folks, get your priorities clear about UBS before deciding to join . All the best.

Boss What are u saying about Finance.......lthere is always 100 percent placement in finance.regarding IB it got excellent & 100 percent placements last year...

dude its doesnt appear u live in chd...n for da details gosh !! theres a site www.ubschandigarh.org ..it covers entire section of placements n if ya need details abt batch profiles ...download da pdf files we ave provided...finance is supported by the best faculty..mr ajay garg (faculty ) is dong his FPM frm IIM Banglore n da guy is just finance wizard..MIB was changed to MBA IB years bak..it appears some people dont refresh their memories hehehe its u ...marketing is da best choice in accordance with popular opnion..n dont bragg abt ur ignorance on PG ..its fatalish loadstar for all aspiring UBSites...
