Great faculty... just listen to what he says in the class and make notes.... no need to refer the book. Might be difficult to grasp his accent at times.

Thank you seeds, We have been given the case study for HRA aka Human resource accounting and the implementation at Infosys. Could anyone help me with some educational websites and data sources.
Would Really appreciate that
Guys how many of you had to experience the wrath of Father Jesurajan.

Rohan... one would have to look at the case to understand what you're looking for. My suggestion would be to look up some PMIR folks on the acad site and request them for help.

I just hope he's reading this, and then we can add one more to the list.

Beware... some faculty members keep reading updates here. Also, the user 'mandumk' is actually a faculty member who is using a random ID to post here. So, don't quite go by his word on things...

yea true...n hes the kind to give marks on the basis of DCP...(Desperate class participation as they call in XLRI)...so keep postin random stuff and u'll be fine...;p

Admission to clubs/societies : You'll know when you're on campus.
Selection for summers : I wish I knew.
Aggregate % : Issue can be handled at the time for registration by the administration. Although I don't think it would be much of a prob, you might wanna contact the admissions department and check with them.
Use this thread in future......

Hi Xlers.
I understand this might not be the right platform to ask this question but I desperately need some info here. before that, a little bit of background:
I have a really bad academic score (X 67, XII 45, BA(Hons) 52, MA (English) 61). My MA sore wasn't that bad considering I stood third in the U'sity but its very less compared with the 90/95% most of you guys have.
On the opther hand, I have 4.5 years of work experience with 4 years in training development/management(of which 2.5 years in developing training for complex software applications). Currently I'm working as a Sr. instructional Designer in an MNC which is a market leader in Enterprise Integration products and I am developing the training for one of their products.
I am only interested for the PMIR program. I am not applying for any other program since this is the only program in india that can cater to my needs. So the stakes are very high for me.
My question is will my bad academics come as a hurdle during the admission process?
Sorry for the long post but any suggestion/advice will be appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Satya
Guys, u can ignore the previous msg. I have put the question in an approprate forum. Thanks.
There we are again with the complex task of handling the most challenging subject known as QT 2 taught to us by none other than the statistical genius Dr T Gangopadhayay. We currently are trying to surmise non-parametric inferences after scoring bad in Quiz 1. Can some one enligten us with the teaching methodology our Jamshedpur fellows apply to crack this code.

Non-parametric methods:
Well, first of all they are too many to remember. So draw a flow-table of them.
Divide them in categories like one variable, two variable, related variables, unrelated variable, etc.
For any question, the key is to first identify the type of variables.
After that we see what all methods can be applied and which to choose according to data given.
:drinking::drinking::drinking::drinking:
Since, Gango taught us Parametric inferences only, and very little of non-para, I cant suggest any book etc. In reality, just catch hold of someone with proper notes. The class-work is generally sufficient to survive this obstacle course...

Ab yahan post karne ki bari hamari hogi
and we WILL make it hallowed
P.S. Due to the non editable nature of the posts in this forum, one can really get some "real good" insights of the XL LIFE...that too unedited..the first posts are genrally the real stuff
Its much better than bugging seniors constantly:thumbsup::biggrin:
Guys, we just finished with the QT 2 End term. Had heard the term " Gango's quiz". Was put to test for the same. Whew !!. Bdw how many of you have succeeded in getting a B+ in this course. Also staring in the face is Financial Management 1. Any tips on this subjects.
Cheers
