Hi guys..I have done my eco hons frm du..passed out dis year..have got thru MA ECO at JAMIA..have talked to few jamia professors and they have said that placements after this course r not that bad with the highst this year arnd 50..now am in two minds..

1.shall i opt for ma eco and then after i get placed do an executive mba..

2.go for a not so good b school like fore etc..coz not expecting a gr8 percentile.....

plz help...thanks!!

My advice to you would be to join MA Eco at Jamia and prepare for CAT side by side. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush . See your score in CAT and if you get a better deal, then leave this course at that time.

i'd agree with anuragxp.i too did my eco hon from DU this year, and although i was keen on pursuing an MA, i didnt make it to JU/DSE.so now am at MBE (DU, South Campus).and i do have classmates who were at Jamia (or other places) for a year before trying for CAT again. (for some reason they ended up at MBE though!)

thanks for the suggestions guys..but the thhing is that if i join jamia eco i wont get time 2 prepare 4 cat at all..as i'll be having classes the whole day...any my last years prep wasnt that good that i just do the mocks this year n go n write cat..and even if i take cat without joining jaima iam not expecting a %ile abuv 90..so if i go 4 jamia nd thendo an exec mba after i start wrking..would it be of any use..
