@shivsu Yep me as well ignored that and went ahead. You can do the same.
@hramkhor
3. How are you planning your expenses? Are you guys financially well-off or considering loan as an option? I ask cuz I hardly have any savings in my bank account and would be totally dependent on loans.
4. Is loan available only for our education fee or living expenses as well?
1. Do they give out any sort of scholarships? Anybody in with a scholarship this year? If yes, pls share your profiles.
[Naman] : The b-school do gives some scholarships but Mannheim doesn't give a big amount.
2. What are the approx. living expenses in Germany for the stay period? Fee would come out to be around 24. How much extra do we need considering our post MBA stay at Germany for job hunting purpose.
[Naman] : Approx living expenses are 670 euros per month. So you can calculate approx for 15 months considering 3 month period after 1 year course period.

[Naman] : Considering taking a loan from Indian or German banks.
4. Is loan available only for our education fee or living expenses as well?
[Naman] : I am aware of only education fee loan that is given by a bank in tie up with Mannheim Business School
@naman.tuteja & @suresh_237 Thanks guys! I'll go ahead and send it too, and perhaps request the English translation later on.

[Shivsu]: I've made a rather fat estimate of EUR 1000 per month (food, accommodation, health insurance, social activities, ...) based purely on Internet research. I don't have friends yet in Mannheim to validate this figure though...

@shivsu I have an alumni friend plus a person from my company in the current batch. In addition the blocked account requirement also states 8040 euros for 12 years. Therefore 650-670 euros per month is sufficient.
But yes it all depends on your lifestyle as well.
Thanks for the heads up @naman.tuteja!
Just begun reading about the blocked account requirement in germanmantra.com...
Loads of homework left for me to do!
Puys, Can you please share with me the resume/format of the resume that you sent to Mannheim.
@GMAT_Conquer
Hello, send me your e-mail id. I have the class profile for 2011-12 batch and you can find hard numbers there.
Congrats Priyank.
Please send/msg me your e-mail id and I will loop you in the e-mail chain.
A stupid query:
Do I have to send the admission documents (hard copies ) to Mannheim office or shall I email her the documents and Reference forms?
Kindly reply. Stephanie is not replying back at the moment.
Are you guys compiling up an excel for the list of selected candidates?
I wanted to go through the profiles and work-ex of the selected candidates. I have only 3 years of work-ex and have heard that german recruiters prefer high skilled people with 6-7 years of work ex. Please enlighten me on that aspect.
TIA.
Hi everyone,
another stupid question...
i have recently started looking into my application process and this is the first university am applying to. I just got confused looking at the application form. arent there any essays asked alongwith the applicaiton?
i mean they are asking for only LoR and SoP..thats it..and a case study later on if you clear the 1st interview! Please correct me if i am wrong
@gauravkorde : Yes, You're supposed to provide only a motivation letter highlighting your career goals and reasons to pursue MBA at this stage of your career and why especially from MBS.
Ps: I just finished my application yesterday.
Hey Thanks,
Thats the easiest application form so far...atleast till the interview part :p
Accidently came across this thread and was happy to see a thread for MBS!! I am part of the current batch
Congrats to all admits and all the best to those who are still waiting! Let me put down some info which may help you.
The best preparation you can do before coming here is to invest time to improve your German. It will really help you a lot if you want a job in Germany after MBA.Courses are cheaper in India and you will also get a headstart.
If you are taking your health insurance from India make sure you get it till Sep next year(entire course period) so that you dont have issues when you extend your visa after coming to Mannheim. If the insurance company insist that they will give it only for 365 days from the date of application make some arrangements to get it extended it till Sep next year within one month of you reaching Germany.
Rooms from only 2 student apartments of the university are being offered to MBS students ( 400 euro or 440 euro per month). So you may have to budget a little more than 650 euros for your expenses. You can start looking for a room outside once you are in Mannheim, but it requires some effort.
Hope this information helps some of you.
Hi guys... I am also applying to MBS,With lot of Indians already making their place at MBS I guess its already late but still taking my chance.
Could anyone please help me with my queries ;
Can reccomenders use seperate word sheets and send as attachment, as the space provided in MBS form is very limited.
This thread is so silent these days....
