This query is known to us for long time as we were waiting for the notification.
a) Exam is on 21st March

i wish to know there is last column of acknoledgement in last do we need to fill it ? or it is for office use .. again if one says reason to join mbe is to make carrer in research .. ex marketing . then will it be ok. are research oriented profiles or of business analyst can be made as a carrer option in case one cracks mbe ??? seniors plez throw some light ???:lookround:.may i know what kind of profile do students joining consultancy firms land up with . i am really more intersted in research .. though i have kept marketing as an back up option ????:lookround:

n i went to d departmnt of bus. eco. n i met a student of MBE dere n he tld me dat a student gets placemnt around 3-5 lacs not more dan dis ......... is it true?

well...what i see from a few posts here is that seniors are refraining from posting avg pay packages for this year as the college has nt published it...This logic is absolutely justified :thumbsup:...Bt seniors can give the details for 2008 for reference...I dont think the college auth. will have a prob with 2008 figures being posted here:nono:...Also I am an engg. with 2.5 yrs of exp in Infy...I want to get into finance field...so i have developed an interest for this college...Will it be good for me to apply to this college after 2.5 yrs of EXp and a package of more than 3.5 currently....

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. The downloaded form should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs.1200/- in case applying for both programs
(Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) and Rs. 700/- in case applying for single program (Rs.300 for SC/ST candidates).
The demand draft should be drawn in favour of "Director, University of Delhi South Campus". The application form
along with the demand draft should be mailed to Coordinator, Joint Admission Test for MFC & MBE,Arts Faculty
Building, University of Delhi South Campus, Benito Juarez Road, New Delhi-110021 so as to reach the above address
latest by February 24, 2010. Application can also be delivered in person at this address (Room No. 329 or 229) from
10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on all working days up to February 24, 2010.
2. Candidates must ensure pasting of passport size photograph on the Application Form and on the Admission Tickets
(Two in number). Admission Tickets duly filled in must be submitted along with the Application form.
3. For students from Categories eligible for reservation, forms must be accompanied by attested copies of Relevant
Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Physically Challenged/Children or Widows of Officers and Men
of the Armed Forces including Para Military Personnel killed or disabled in action at wars..
4. In case Candidates want Admission Tickets to be mailed, they must write their full mailing address with Pin code
on the blank envelope enclosed herein and affix Postage stamp worth Rs.25/- (if mailing address is other than Delhi
and NCR) or Postage stamp worth Rs.12/- (if mailing address is in Delhi & NCR i.e.Gurgaon/ Faridabad/Ghaziabad

5. Original certificates will have to be submitted at the time of admission and shall be returned only on withdrawal
from the course.
6. Candidates are advised to keep a photocopy of the admission form, duly filled-in and the bank draft for future reference
and verification. Candidates are further advised to visit the web site of the Department of Financial Studies
(Department of Financial Studies : University of Delhi, South Campus) or Department of Business Economics (Master of Business Economics), for updates.
7. Candidates are advised to provide email id (S.No. 4 in the form) and phone numbers in order to facilitate quicker
communication.
8. Candidates should bring their admission tickets and a Proof of ID (e.g. College I-card) at the Examination Centre.
In case the admission ticket is not received by any applicant by 10th March, 2010, the applicant must contact the
University immediately. No enquiries in regard shall be entertained after March 18, 2010.
9. All admissions are provisional subject to approval by the University. For candidates appearing for Bachelor's Degree
examination in 2010, the final year result must be submitted before September 15, 2010 failing which admission
will be automatically cancelled.

@ All MBE Aspirants : Pls check previous replies of seniors before making similar queries time and again.
@ Pac : You want 2008 figures... go to MBE website and download the recruitment brochure and you'll get mean, median and highest salaries for 2007, 2008, 2009 batches.
@ Mohit : Whosoever said 5 Lakhs is max that you'll get from MBE is not giving you the true picture. Refer to the brochure as I tell everyone! Just to give you an idea, even in the recession hit 2009 batch, three out of 50 of my seniors got package in excess of 9 lakhs p.a, some others got packages ranging between 5-7 lakhs and average salary was around 5.75 lakhs.
But dont let the package and attractive ROI of MBE alone be the guiding factors for/against you joining MBE. You should be clear as to what kind of value-add you expect this course will bring to your career. You might be in for some trouble should you join this course with misplaced priorities and inflated expectations. Be very very clear about the advantages and limitations of pursuing MBE. This is my personal advice to all of you. Hope this helps!

You should be clear as to what kind of value-add you expect this course will bring to your career. You might be in for some trouble should you join this course with misplaced priorities and inflated expectations. Be very very clear about the advantages and limitations of pursuing MBE. Like I mentioned before that there is nothing mentioned explicitly about the cut off but one should keep balance over the sections.

You cannot infer these courses as MBA, :nono:
They are specialized courses each with individual identity. I would like to add one more in the list the MA/MSc. in Operational Research/Applied OR from University Of Delhi.:drinking:
