You can get info about admission process from website of the institution, Dept. of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. The entrance has two options to choose from, one requires undergraduate knowledge of economics another of maths and stats. And people go for careers in government offices usually as well. Minimum qualification is graduation in any discipline. Seeing that this is thread for MBE, If you have any other questions to me, send a private message. hi,welome to PG.but plz remove ur mail id,itz against PG rules .for MFC/MBE no special kinda book is there.preparation for CAT is enough for this.but unlike CAT,mbe/mfc exam is accuracy & speed based test & also difficulty level is less in comparison to CAT/XAT.hope this ll help u.:cheerio: and for coaching many institutes are there like-IMS,TIME,CL etc,go & consult them.
If I am not wrong,you too had a call last year.Anyways,not only written exam have some weightage,your performance in the GD-PI is also equally important.But how much weightage was given last year and how much would be given this year can't be predicted.All you have to do is wait for the GD-PI result and then rock the GD-PI sessions :)

how 2 prepare 4 the gd-pi for both mfc n mbe. i mean do they ask gen qn as asked in any of the bizz school or specifically fin n economics. wat spl prep do i need 2 go 4 ? Also is there separate gdpi foe mfc n mbe or combined?

It is declared according to the ranks achieved in the entrance examination' score.
As far as the interview concerns,for the freshers it is acads based interview process.And the ones who have work-ex should know about their experience very well..And yes,current awareness also helps in for the GD process.

Shruti The prospectus states end of march as the date for announcement ofwritten results, The FAQ on the MBE site reads 2nd April, also somewhere on the thread I read 4th april was the result date. I tried to find it out 4m the MBE office, the lady on the other side said, "I dont know. No date has been decided." Could you please help????
Fellow aspirants in the mean time we should discuss some GD/PI stuff. May be some one who has been through the MBE GD/PI process last year can take the initiative, it will be of much help to other fellow puys. Thanks

Unlike as in MBA programmes,in MBE you have to take two specialisations(not major and minor).Both the specialisations have equal importance.There are varied profiles offered to both the freshers and work-experienced students.
Our seniors have got Marketing and Marketing Research profiles in their final placements.Thats not an issue here..For more details,I would request some-one from the placement team to throw some light on it.. 😃

Is there any official/unofficial news about the result, or any info. which can be helpful??? I know u or any student cannot influence the admissions department, to come out with the results, but any piece of info' with a reasonable amount of certainity and less ambiguity can bring many uneasy minds to rest............. Well,I am sorry to tell that results are delayed to next week.I don't know the reason and the anxiety can be well understood..Don't wait for the result ,rather wait for the result to call you soon 😃 Don't lose patience :)
