From this year there is no aptitude test round. As per the Court decisions, scores of centralised exams like CAT/MAT/CET/XAT and newly started AICTE aptitude test scores to be used. Second round of GD/PI is by institutes. Next year by court's order there would only be one aptitude test conducted by AICTE.
As regards the fee structure, the Two Year Program costs Rs 2.75 Lacs per year. It includes all value addition programs, development programs, laptop, textbooks, industrial visits, seminars, and many more activities.

Hey,
I personally being an MBA student have realized that a student should not run behind placements rather he/ she must think about the learning and development that happens in any institution.. Placements will follow you once you are developed into a professional.
Today I have been placed at Deloitte because I was trained in such a manner @ MITSOB ...
So I Suggest, If you want to develop yourself with an excellent education quality join MITSOB...
Best of Luck!!
MITSOB is known for its HBS case based pattern. It is also one of the few B-schools in the country that believes in continuous learning and its evalution. It focuses on preparing budding managers that can cope up with the tough realities of the corporate life.
Packages ranges between 3.5 L-8 L. Faculties are pretty good and it is listed among Top- 50 colleges in the country.
MITSOB is a great option. I know from my friend that this year the placements are very good. last few years placements have been good. But this year these are substantially better. It is displayed on their website with names. I see very few B schools are so transparent. When I asked their placement cell they also provided mobile numbers of students to confirm. I did confirm with couple of them and found out their data is correct. They also have placement abroad. In fact I contacted one of them who is right now abroad working in Muscat. Their faculty and course structure seems good. So I would recommend it.

first of all thanks for starting this thread....was waiting for this from long time...
i have already gone through website but listning from students provides more clear picture so i have few queries regarding MITSOB so please help me out seniors...
1. I have heard of Harvard Business Model being implemented here, so can you throw some more light regarding the case studies of that.
2. What is the teaching methodology, balance between practical and theoretical teaching and how is the faculty.
3. Industrial exposure, seminars , conferences etc provided
4. Along with PGDM what other certifications/Value added programs are available.
looking forward for ur replies...
The model uses case discussions to give conceptual as well as contextual learning. It is student focused. The learning is not what faculty has come with a prepared lecture but as the students understand and discuss solutions to a real business case. Faculty guides the discussion and contributes to learning by giving examples from their experience. There is hardly any stress on remembering or mugging up for exams. In fact final exam is only 30% and that too has a case to solve. Many exams are open book. The assessment is on your understanding and giving your opinion with reasoning. Of course there is assessment every day. But you feel every day that you are learning something new.
The focus is on practical problem solving using theory as a base. Faculty was good when I was there. But I think it is same. May be few additions. Most of them have 20 plus years of industry experience. Few have done their PG from abroad, or IIMs and then worked in reputed companies at high positions. Couple of them were CEOs in multinational companies. I think the details may be on the website. Few of them have written reference books.
Industry experience, seminars etc you need to check from website or from a current students.
I know that few value addition certifications are six sigma, FINATICS (Excel based finance management) of course I don't know much as I am not a finance guy, NSE certification (I was benefited as I use it for my investments), AUSIB (Alliance of US India Business) it was excellent and only available at MITSOB I think. May be some more now a days. Please check yourself.
I suppose this information would meet your requirement. I may be busy next few days. So bear with me if I don't respond quickly.

I am looking for admission in this college but placement seems to b a concern. as per website only 75 have been. placed out of i think around 220 students. no doubt there has been some good companies on campus but packages have gone to low till 2.4L. can you seniors clarify on this please...whats last year avg and lowest
The placement figures reflect the currrent status. The process is ongoing and will continue till May -June. Hence, there is no reason to think that what is othe web site is the final figure. This year based on the response, the figures are expected to be very good by the end of placement season. The point for a student to consider is that placement is a function of individual performance. The institute provides a platform, as on date close to 100 companies have visited and more are in the pipeline on a daily basis. I suggest that if you take the course seriously and actively involve yourself in the value addition activites, you will surely be the amongst the early ones to be placed.
Yeah you r right that placement depends on us but if u r student there then can you tell me the profiles being offered to students
