There are many companies which have come for marketing profile..
FMCG companies such as Colgate Palmolive have taken students from our college...
The placement procedure is still on and many of them are getting placed day after day.. just keep yourself updated to the website, you will get the news..
As of now many companies have come..and many of them are scheduled for near future probably after 15th March.. as most of the good companies prefer students who have completed their course ..

I think your number of 220 is incorrect. Only those who have cleared all subjects up to third sem are eligible for placement. Also some of them opt out as they join their family business. I was told that eligible students are around 140 and placed are 82 as per my friend's info.

I know placement is a very important factor, but being only focussed on it would be in correct. I feel that yo must see the strength of the program and how it can make you better. Whether the present strength of placed students is 82 or not is not the matter. What should be of interest is that companies are visiting the campus and there is continuing opportunity. I feel you should take a decision on facts.

This thread belongs to MIT SOB (MIT School of Business) for its autonomous AICTE approved PGDM program. MITSOM is a differen institute which runs MBA of Pune University. In case you arre interested in MIT School of Business you can download the applicattion form from mitsob.net directly, as the same is available online.
i have got 70 percentile in MAT....can i apply to MITSOB?
do they give weightage to academics?

With 70 percentile you are eligible to apply for MITSOB. The final selection has seperate weightage based on the scores secured by the candidate in MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/CET. There is weightage for academic record at SSC/XII and at graduation. I suggest you visit mitsob.net and see all these details under admission portal.
As regards MITSOB and MITSOM, my personal recommendation is MITSOB because it is an autonomous course with flexibility and better learning opportunity. When it comes to placement, MITSOB is way way ahead of MITSOM in number and packages. MITSOB follows Harvard Business School pattern which is very unique. My advice is that you should apply for MITSOB
You can apply to MITSOB. That's a good institute. Go through it's website. You need to go through the process of selection.
For MITSOM the selection is centrally through Govt of Maharashtra. Only 10% quota for outside Maharashtra.
MITSOB has it's own selection process. Of course you need MAT/CAT/CMAT score. Course is AICTE approved. This year MITSOB placements are much better than MITSOM and also than some other institutes. They have displayed it on website.
You can download MITSOB form from their website www.mitsob.net on admissions open link on home page.
MITSOB runs AICTE approved autonomous course PGDM (equivalent to MBA).
For MITSOM that runs Pune University course, there is no form as the admissions are through centralised process of Maharashtra CET.

Your chances are very bright. MITSOB gives prefers studens with sound academic background and yoou seem to have one. So go ahead and apply at the earliest.
Your MAT score is good. Your past academic record is good. So you do stand good chance to get through the admission process at MITSOB. My advice is be confident during selectin process. With your good record, after PGDM, you would get very good placement. BTech plus PGDM at reputed institute is a good combination. Incidently which is you branch for BTech?
