I got 91 percentile in feb mat.
in 10th-74%
in 12th-61%
in b.com-after 2yr its 58%.final exam is in april......
so what are my chances??????????????

I checked with my Son's friend. There are many private hostels and PG. Approximate cost of accommodation and food would be Rs 5000 per month. If you rent a bed and join private mess it would be about Rs 3500 to 4000. PG is also around Rs 3500 but difficult for boys to get good one, for girls there are many. Then some hostels are upward of Rs 6000 with many additional facilities like resident doctor, internet, etc. If you have a two wheeler, or ready to walk couple of km, the rate comes down by Rs 500 to 1000
You can get details of the hostels from Gautam at MITSOB admission office or the GS of MITSOB. Although she is placed and joined some company, my son told me that she has data base of accommodations vacated by senior students. Why don't you send email to them on email ID given on website. Since my son's friend has moved to a flat after placement, he doesn't have exact information of addresses etc.

You can still apply. They have regular on going selection process. If you qualify their selecting and vacancy exists they will take you. If you score below their criterion they will not take you. It is like US universities. There is no fixed last date. That's what I understood from my friend.

Your MAT percentile and marks are ok. Well I can't tell about chances. They have selection based on academic records, MAT scores, essay writing, extempore talk and interview. Be confident and appear. You should be able to speak on a general topic for 5 minutes. Unless you try how will you know your English communication is good enough or not. But many of us are unnecessarily worried. Many times we are better than others. So best of luck.

You can apply through any common tests like CET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT etc as per AICTE and supreme court ruling. So MITSOB accept all these. All other AICTE approved autonomous courses have to accept it.

There are four PGDM courses at MITSOB. These are Marketing, Finance, HR and PGDM with free choice. Actually these are only nomenclatures as per AICTE rules. Basically it is PGDM course with different streams.

Doesn't matter. After PGDM you would be a manager in the functional area that you would select. With BSc you could choose Marketing or PGDM with free option that you could decide after one year. For placement you graduation stream doesn't matter. Your preparation during PGDM is what matters. For selection to MITSOB the process is same for all graduates.

HR placements are good. I can find out from my friend more details if you want. I know overall placements at MITSOB are very good for last two years and particularly this year. However specific to HR I need to find. Give me couple of days to find.

there is no official hostel for MITSOB..but u will find many hostels and PG near MIT..between 3 to 7 thousand..depending on ur need ..

On their website they have given that hostel facility on merit basis so I guess there must be some accommodations within the campus as well. Any idea?
