What about the hostel facility at MITSOB?? What is the fees for hostels?

There are many private hostels around. They are good and safe. Cost is roughly Rs 6000 per month including meals (B'Fast, Lunch, Evening snacks, and dinner). There are many PG accommodation. Cost is slightly less. If you share a flat with other students cost is about 2 to 3 thousand per person. Then you can join mess for food. There are many on and around campus. If you want I can link you up with some present student for details. Or contact MITSOB admission cell or student representative.

general topics..current affairs .....

Don't worry about topics. These are very general. They want to test your articulation skills. How you put forth your views. Logically and systematically. Besides are ok with spoken English. Also your stage confidence to speak. Most important is be confident and speak at least for four minutes. I was told that if you stop below 3 minutes your chances of selection are low unless you have good aptitude scores and PI. Below 2 minutes you stand no chance.

i want to know about MMM course in MIT .. Hows the placement ???

MMM is not at MITSOB. It is at MITSOM. Both institutes are under MIT group. But MITSOB has much better placements and faculty. It has case based learning. AICTE approved autonomous program.
MMM is Pune University program run at MITSOM. Although it is full time program, it is treated as a part time, for those who are already working. So there are no placements. Any case the program is not as good as PGDM or MBA. So in any institute, MMM and MPM placements are almost negligible. There fees are also very less as compared to PGDM and MBA. Admissions are first come basis. In any case in most of the institutes MMM and MPM seats are vacant, so you can get admission any time. It is for those who are working and can not do full time program. Any case they are not looking for campus placement.

please join this grp on FB ..if u are joining MITSOB..2012-2014 batch...

You need to have appeared any of the centralized aptitude test like CAT, MAT, CMAT, CET, ATMA etc. Then apply on line after going through website. There is extempore essay writing, extempore talk and PI. If you are good in communication and has reasonable GK and of course confidence to speak for about five minutes, it's not something difficult. They also give weight for 10th and 12th score. If you have first class or better above 70 percent, it adds to the score and chances of selecting increases. Aptitude score has I think 30 percent weight. You check from the website.

MITSOB is definitely better. Being autonomous is their strength. MITSOB is approved by AICTE. If you compare their placements it would be very clear that MITSOB placements are about four times and packages are about one and half times more that MITSOM. Visit their institute. They have displayed comparison. In fact their placements are conducted centrally. Also the course at MITSOB is much better. They follow case based learning model. Why don't you visit their website and also institute. Both are located nearby. I will any day recommend MITSOB. I know one student passed out last year from MITSOB very well.

For MITSOM only CET score is accepted because it is centrally done by Maharashtra Govt. Where as for all AICTE approved PGDM courses like at MITSOB all the centralized aptitude tests like CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT/CET/XAT etc are acceptable.

PGDM is used by AICTE approved post graduate management program. Whereas MBA is University affiliated course. Please note that IIM also does not give MBA because it is not a university under UGC. Advantage of PGDM program from a good institute is it's course and syllabus is update as per industry and student requirement. Hence placements are better for PGDM if the institute is good. MITSOB placements are much better in packages as well as number of students placed. You can check the placement data from website, visiting institute and talking to the passed out students. This you must check for any institute. It is not important whether it is MBA or PGDM (AICTE approved), as both are equivalent. More important is placements, syllabus, teaching methodology, faculty and lastly infrastructure. Last three year MITSOB PGDM has better placements than MBA. But you still check personally if possible by visiting or ask your friend to visit institute.
