hey guyz plz guide ... i have done my graducation (B.Sc in IT) from kc college , mumbai university and having 15yrs of education. i am planning to do MS from USA but my 15yrs of education z creating prob in tha.. so i do PGDIT (post graducate diploma in IT )which UGC recognized from mumbai university, so will this add up to 16yrs in my education? as i have scored 107 in toefl and 315in GRE..and which are those university which accept PGDIT as 16yrs of education????? so kindly help me...

Can anyone evaluate my profile for GRE ? really confused regarding which universities to apply . Some seniors recommend that i shouldn't be fully listening to my counselor as they usually go for low range universities .

This was my dreamlist of universities: cmu, ucb, princeton, purdue and columbia. I am planning to do masters in embedded systems(electrical).

I have given GRE twice and my scores are below

GRE 1st time Q:152 V:145 AWA:3

GRE 2nd time: Q:153 V:141 AWA:3

TOEFL:92

I understand that these scores are bit low to apply to these universities. However, if I stand a slightest of the chance I want to apply to these universities, considering the fact that I have

75% in Bachelors of Engineering(Electronics & Communication), 4 IEEE publications, 3 years plus of research experience from IISc, Bangalore and 1 year of industry experience in CSR,one of the largest fabless Semiconductor Company.

Please let me know if I can apply to the above universities. If there is any change, please do let me know to which universities I can apply ? I am really confused. Please guide me

Hi!! Please help me by replying.. I am in my 4th year in IIT Kanpur doing civil eng... I have applied for MS in structural eng.. in some 5 univ.. my cgpa is 8/10 my gre score is 308 and my toefl score is 100... Does anybody knws anything abt the results and scholarships..??

Many people want to pursue their higher education in USA. The most important thing is to pick the best university. Getting admissions from universities is based on GRE and TOEFL scores.

Hi Guys!


I am currently working in Research and Development Division at India's leading Automobile manufacturing company. In my 3 years as a professional I have filed a few patents as author. I have done my Mechanical Engineering from one of India's premier engineering institute (ranked among top 15) and hold a B.E. (Hons.) degree. I have scored +85% in 12th(CBSE) and +90% in 10th (CBSE) grade resp. Apart from educational and professional achievements I have also volunteered in some of the NGOs as well.


After completing some years in the industry I am eying to pursue my Masters Degree, but I am perplexed to decide between MBA (GMAT) and MS (GRE) (both preferably from US). I don't have a clear idea about the courses/ programmes offered in either of the graduations.


Please suggest the merits and demerits of both and/or any other lead/consultant to help me get out of this dilemma.

I am studying B Tech 3rd year from ECE background , and i always wanted to study in USA . I have a softcorner at Perdue University , so can you people let me know what are the pre requsites for that university? (like min score GRE , TOEFL/IELTS) btw im a 9 pointer in my college .

It would be really helpful if you can reply me with other best universities .
