iv heard from various source that IDBI's salary is more than SBI's...i may be wrong though..

what you have heard is quite true. But the fact is you have to work very hard for that, because IDBI gives you huge incentives. So basically the actual salary of SBI is more than that of IDBI, but including the incentives you get a bit more in IDBI.

yeah this can be possible......but basic salary in SBI is more dan IDBI....additional incentives plays a greater role in additional salary
Other than JAIIB and CAIIB is there any higher studies option available after joining banks, which will help in further progress in the bank.......

can't say if it is a scam or not. But by the look of it, it seems to be genuine because the same thing is given on the website of IFBI too. Here is the link for that http://www.ifbi.com/pgdbb.aspx
In the SBI p.o notification, it is given that the CTC for p.o is around 8 lakhs per annum which comes out to around 67k per month. But i have heard that a p.o gets only about 32k in hand. Plz someone tell me what are the actual salary statistics?
@sateeshin its actually worth taking a risk as i heard from someone that it is indeed genuine. But to be placed in kvb, you will need to do well in the diploma programme.

its completely up to you to decide whether to switch your job or not..... You can make the decision depending on your aptitude for the two fields and also depending on whether you would enjoy a career in banking sector or in IT sector.......
@akshcool i am a lil disappointed wid my current job. but aftr reading ths thread, i feel as if my current job is really grt- nice salary, civilized bosses, good increments etc. if bank job is as bad as this thread makes it look, i guess am better off excelling in my current profession. :(

My lucid and simple suggestion to you if I could be allowed to, Please dont leave IT company for a Bank PO job.
@praneethreddy5 thnx bro for ur suggestion. the nly reason i was thinkin to switch is cos i thot as a bank po.,i could get to spend time wid my family, have a personal life after 7 pm and live a peaceful lyf. I guess its a mirage even in banking sector. so its bettr to be paid well if ultimately i am to lose my peace of mind in eithr of the jobs
