I gave my interview yesterday, 31st August, Has Hotel New Delhi
My interview was fine, cant say good or bad.
The questions they asked me were:
Tell me something about yourself.
How does one gets an honorary rank in Army? (Since I am an Army brat )
Can a Havildar directly become Honorary Lieutenant?
What is insurance?
How an insurance company is able to pay such a huge amount when you give only a small premium?
Your hobbies?
Tell me two breaking news. (Followed by some questions from the same news)
Gross premium of NICL?
Chairman of NICL?
Gross premium of NIACL?
Headquarter of NIACL?
How many types of sounds are there? (Since I had a subject on Linguistics during graduation)
Who is batting right now?(Cricket match)
Where is Prime Minister right now?
It lasted for around 15 minutes.
I wanted to speak more but said you can go now. They were nice, very humble. I was confident through out the interview, I have a good command over my communication skills and I kept my answers short and simple with a smile
Lets see what happens...
P.S. There was also a discussion on Why I did not join the Army. I was recommended by 4AFSB Varanasi in 6SSC Flying Course (Airforce) but was unfit for flying as my carrying angle was more than 15 degree(Cubitus Valgus).
Anyways... I hope ki is me ho jaye.. Fingers crossed.

@deepika_raj_46 said: @ferocious002 hi to your question the answer is "pooling in concept"it works on pooling of money from many fortunates which help one unfortunate.so assume for line of business 100 people have pooled in money for motor insurance and amount would be little as an annual premium.but when it comes to paying claim the number of claim would be hardly 5-10.so which can settled easily .and note that in GI there is no concept of returning your paid premium back to you as an investment so...insurance company also make benefit out of the 90 people's premium paid.i hope i am clear.... in simple way...
The concept behind insurance is basically "law of averages" or "doctrine of probability". In insurance, the loss is shared by many equally exposed to risk.
@deepika_raj_46 said: @pandit_pujari correct there are seven principles for insurance 1>utmost faith 2>indemnity3>insurable interest4>contribution5>average6>subrogation 7>proximity of cause.... out of which all concepts are derivied. but when it comes to settling claim to someone where the premium paid by him is small as compared to loss.... "pooling in" comes into picture.... i referred swiss re presentaion when i was preparing for interview... and when i think logically i find this coreect as well...ideas on this most welcome
mujhse to ye sab puchha hi nai
