Basic Insurance Q.s only - Define Insurance, Reinsurance, Chairman of IRDA, IRDA Roles, Turnover of NICL, NIACL, OICL, UIIC etc.

hi! I have my interview scheduled on 27th for OICL. the interview is in chennai...anybody else slotted for the same?
and guys hws the prep going? for the interview of AO i guess we shud concentrate more on our academics and brush up on the terms and current happenings in the insurance sector.. the points covered by Rahul above are sufficient enuf. they don't expect much frm us as far as knowledge of insurance in concerned..just the basics. and those with work ex, may be a few on the work and why the switch.

@[541273:sandeepv882]- no i haven't given any of the PSU interviews before, but yeah i have faced interviews in the corporates, i was working previously. I have a few friends in PSU, they say that the interview is more of a chit-chat.
donno abt SSC buddy...they keep on raising thr standards..but m sure u'll find ppl on pagalguy who can help u that.

1)What makes you apply for a generalist post being a Btech, when you could have applied for a specialist post as well??
2)Why do you prefer insurance sector currently working in an IT firm??

Hello puys, is there a way to know which post I applied for(generalist or specialist), because I'm almost sure I applied for the posts in engineering discipline as I did not notice that any graduate can apply for the generalist posts, in which case my chances will be reduced as there are only 10 posts in specialist discipline. So, how can I know which post I applied for? and is there any chance that I'll be considered for generalist posts too? 
UIIC results have been declared ; Unfortunately I did not get selected. This is the second time that I could not clear UIIC; All the Best to the rest of you people

What exactly is this? Are they asking for class XII TC or pass certificate as date of birth proof? These documents don't show date of birth!Can someone please clarify this as I don't have birth certificate but I do have other age proofs like voter ID card and class X marksheet.
