If anyone hasn't mentioned about notice period, you can not ask for an extension.

Did you call NICL office? Just ask them if they need a relieving letter or not. Dont wait.

exactly ..mere AO frnd ne bhi kal mujhe yahi samajhaya tha ....but mere to bouncer nikal gyi thi kal ......par ab thoda samajh aaya hai .....but kya lena dena .....joining k baad dekha jayega ....yeh to aisi cheez hai ki jo sabke k liye equally valid hai ....so not a big issue .....dekha liya jayega isse bhi ......

bhai my personal suggestion ....try krte rho ....hr se baat krte rho ......medical ground pe hai to medical laga do farzi ........nahi to last me nicl me aa jaana.....many of my frnd hv left companies like nokia siemens,infy ,tcs.....to join psu's like ongc,bhel ......without serving notice period ......only thing is they didnt get their exp. letter ......but if job doesnt requires any exp......company dOESNT askS for exp .letter ....exp .letter is checked only if exp. is essential for that particular job......and think nicl me koi exp. nhi manga gya tha ...that was freshers job ....
yaar yeh har company ka haal hai ...koi bhi manager/HR aaram se relieve nhi krta hai ...naatak to sabhi krte hai .......u will not believe mujhe to bas 20din hue hai job join kiye hue i joined ....on 5 sept ....uske baad training 20 days phir joining aayi .....tab tak result aa gaya nicl ka ....so m not going ....hr ka , even my manager has called me couple of tymes ....but i m not responding to their call.....neither i told them dat i m joining nicl......agar unhe batata hu to wo 50 kaanoon paadane lagenge ...so m ignoring them ...........
only option u hv is to HR KO PATAO ...else chup chap nikal jao ....kisi se kuch mat bolo ki u r joining NICL......(DATS IMP .DONT TELL THAT U R JOINING NICL)...
again dats my personal & practical opinion ...rest u know better .....:)

one current NICL AO wrote this on orkut .......

"Kunal Dadlani - Our batch(2009) was given to join Office first and then called for Induction training. But this is not the case with our junior batch(2011), they're directly called to attend Induction training and mean while their places of posting were intimated. I think this will happen with you guys too.

Best part is our juniors got their preferred place as posting whereas our batch were not given with preferred choice.

You have to give a bond before joining NIC, the format will be mailed to you shortly. Definitely u gonna join NICL in 2012 only. dont worry. "

well i am going to leave my company on 1st decemeber after grabbing my salary for nov.. i have contacted so many seniors.. medical ground is the best to quit immeditely.... in this case i would suggest you all to contact your hr mangers directly rather than your mangers,.... mangers will definately crib and you will have enormous pressure for coming 1 month. while referrring posts i came to know that few of guys are from infosys and HP... I HAVE FEW COLLEGUES here who are from these companies.. and the common conclusion is medical ground is best to quit company ....... but please keep in mind that if you have not signed any service bond (like overseas bond )... else any sort of labour law BOND is invalid in INDIA!!! AND the good news is for NICL you wont be asked for releiving letter immeditely because we are IT proffesions and the requisite experience is not relevant!!!!! so contact hr manager and play safe..

@crabn3bula i have already dropped paper... i have requested to process my last working day as 7th dec... so it comes to around 45 days..... have to talk with hr today for that 15 days waiver.... hope everything goes fine....
@Gaurav1616 no bro.... have to call today... was trying to convince in my office... today gonna talk with HR about the 15 days waiver... if its not possible, have to talk with nicl hr and ask whether its mandatory to submit experience certificate...
@ferocious002 yes wat you said is obsolutely right... in my case just 2 weeks ago my manager moved to some other company... now the new manager is not at all helping thats the only problem....but i have already dropped the paper.. now in notice period... only hope is that have to talk with hr today.... also as you said if nothing worksout, then have to abscond....

yes this is the good option.... i have done a mistake by saying the truth... even my ops manager told that only on medical grounds we can relieve immediately... as the managers are accountable for attrition rate usually they wont accept this... so other puys please play safe with this regard...

Does this means that we will not report the training academy on the said date(17th Dec)?

Meri joining hai 5th Nov ko, in gurgaon, so I'll be making some excuse and tell that I'll join in mid Dec, tab tak pata chal he jayega ki training kab hai... 1 month k liye koi company join nahi karna chahta...

Training shuru hone me 10-12 din lagte hain? matalb around last week me hume pune bulayenge ya phir us se pehle bulayenge? reply ASAP..
