im selected for oicl interview(gen)on 1st sept.. but the problem is i dnt have original certificates with me. they are in my college. they say they cant give within 15-20 days.what shud i do.
Also ne1 know the cut offs and marks or ne1 tried to file rti for same
just get a letter from ur college authorities, that will help surely.

It does not matters at all where the headquarters of Insurance company is. The business done by all companies is of same nature. All 4 companies do the same business and face the same problems. But going by quality of administration New India stands out against the rest 3 companies owing to its connection to Tata working culture.

Generalist: joh kaam diya jaayega woh chup chap karna..kisi bhi prakar ki kurkur nahi chalegi...u'll have to do all the work what your manager assigns you. Assistant is there but they are all super seniors who like to beat their own drums. in their absence even their work has to be done by us.

Can you please tell me the hierarchy in insurance cos. What is the designation of boss of AO? Do we have system like LDC, UDC, Assistant, Section Officer in Central govt.?
even i don't have my original degrees with me, but yess have the provisional ones.. will those not do!!???

Class I- Scale I Admin Officer II Assistant Manager or Branch Manager III Divisional Manager(if heading a division) or Deputy Manager (if in Administrative Offices) IV Senior Divisional Manager (if heading a division) or Manager (if in Administrative Office) V Regional Manager (if heading a region) or Chief Manager (if in Head office) VI Deputy General Manager VII General Manager VIII CMD.

About working culture of PSU insurance companies: Working culture is vey bad. Infra in all companies is very poor. U may end up with a pc which takes 45 minutes to boot. Staff is non cooperative. your suggestions ideas are always refused by people below you. some staff work hardly some hardly work. Some staff (especailly union leaders) do not attend office at all but sign muster lumpsum for a month. There is high union interference in day to day work. If a sweeper belongs to some union u as officer have to bear his tantrums as even higher (scale vii) authorities are afraid of unions.

1. If you are bengali - WB, if you are marathi - Maharashtra et al. This should mean tha.
2. If you can join immediately then it's immediately (recommended). if you can join after 2-3 weeks and so on.

yeah, it is demoralising but it's true. I've visited my neared NICL branch for insuring my bike and I've seen the exact work culture as he described. 
@[453241:futtimaniac] native is the state of u permanent address. n if u r brought up in some other state n done ur regular studies till 12th from tht state, thn its ur domicile state.
notice period is the period u need to serve in a company when u give resignation n they finally release u. they r asking this coz they want to know how long will u take to leave a company n join thr's.
if u r a fresher or not working then just write nil.
